A few of my best friends are Christian. My answer is yes, absolutely.

Of course, we don't shove our beliefs down each other's throats. That is essential to living in harmony.

Absolutely. I'm an Atheist and DO have some Christian friends... So long as a person does not try to convert me, religion is immaterial as far as I am concerned.

What is right and true for ME isn't necessarily what is right and true for someone else.

I just can't stand anyone that decides that since their religious choices are right for them, they must be right for everyone and start trying to 'save' the world.

Religious discussion is fine, but when one person decides to go down the path of 'I'm right and you're wrong', the discussion becomes an arguement and the 'harmony' is over.

Only if both sides don't truly believe what they profess. The two concepts are diametric opposites. How can they "agree to disagree"? Do you think it's possible that Jews and Nazis could just agree to disagree and live in harmony?

Depends on the person I think. Most Christians, that I know, are not concerned with what Atheists believe, I can only assume the Atheist feel the same way

If that were the case, EVERYONE ON THE PLANET should agree to disagree and live in harmony. But we have megalomaniacs who wish to try and control the world and it's natural resources and their greed consumes them and they know not what they do.

I am a Christian and I for one agree to disagree. Atheists and everyone else on the planet has a right to determine what they believe. That's free will. If God respects it, why shouldn't I?

I think most do. It's the extremists that can't. I'm an atheist and I've been married to a christian for 8 years and things are great - religion or lack thereof is not an issue for us.

Absolutely. In another incarnation I had Father K, Wolfblayde and several other Christians (and an odd selection of Muslims, Pagans, Ásatrú, Spiritualists et al) as my contacts.

I consider many of them friends and 'got on' fine. I find a bit of respect and thought before you post helps, but in the end, reasonable people are reasonable people, whatever their religious beliefs.

Sure just agree to not push your personal point of view on each other. Agree to disagree then drop the topic, don't bring it up again.

Yes it happens all the time with people. But we constantly have new generations of people just starting to ask these questions that go through the same learning and discovery process.
