in her note she called me a ***** and said she's a senior citizen that can barely get in her car! i keyed in at night and no i don't think there was a camera.. i thought about slashing her tires but that would be a litlte bit cruel.

If she had just sent you a nasty note, and then her car was keyed.. why on earth would you think she wouldn't suspect you? I would also like to know how far this behavior is going to go, before you two stop with the petty playground war? At slashing her tires? Jumping on the hood and peeing on her windshield? Sugar in the gas tank? Setting it on fire?

Being angry and frustrated is one thing, but acting like a pissed off little kid having a tantrum is another. At some point you have to draw the line, and act like an adult, otherwise it could very well escalate to something more dangerous, for you and her.

Personally i think you need a reality check. You can have criminal charges brought on you by your actions. What made you think you had the right to damage someone else's property? If she wrote you a note, than more than likely she knows who you are and has probably reported the incident to someone. She may not have had any right to call you a name in the note, but all you would have had to do is leave more space between your car and hers. That my dear is called common courtesy, and something you may want to learn about. I think you need to go to this woman and admit what you did and pay for the damage you caused. It is high time you grew up and started acting like an adult. Welcome to the real world dear. You are accountable for your actions.

Sorry I don't think you did the right thing. I can understand how ticked off you are and she was being childish. She could have just asked you if you could park a little less close.
By you doing what you did was lowering yourself to her standards. Others in your work place most know what she's like too so try to ignore her if there is a next time.
Smile. That bugs most people more than if you get upset.

You are really something. If you key someone's car just because they left you a note, what will you do if they do something really bad to you? Kill them? At the rate you are going you will wind up in jail some day for a long time.

I do not think it was right and might add to more things happening. It is hard to just go on with things and not let things bother you, but the best thing could have been to just park a little closer to piss her off more and if possible on the drivers side. I come from a long line of winning the a$$hole contest, my father has meetings alot and they call him the winner in there also ;) Try to keep things legal the best way possible. Everything has a reaction.

Did you ever think that maybe you actually parked too close to her car? That she resorted to name calling was unfortunate but hardly a reason to damage her property. I would have apologized to her and made her feel small for the name-calling.Sorry,but I just can't wrap my head around vandalism

in the old days horse thieves were hung because to mess with a mans horse was to mess with thier livlyhood. while keying a cars paint may not render the car inoperable, i feel that warants legal retribution. you took a note that called you a name, a verbal attack and you escalated it to a physical attack, albeit on an inattimate object. i think your attack was juvenile.

Charity - what goes round comes around. Call it retribution if you like. Sorry, I cannot condone your actions. She may have to re-spray where you keyed her. Lots of money - you could have walked away from it calling her whatever you like - consult that part of you that is "just "and you will see. Like road rage there is no justification for it.

I would have just ignored the letter. I mean, it could have been worse: she could have keyed YOUR car! But now that you keyed her car out of spite, she could sue you or something. So I think you did the wrong thing on that one.
