Puppies explore their world through their mouth. Biting is very natural. You have to teach the dog that biting is not to be tolerated when it reaches the level of giving you pain. When the dog bites you, you react as if it just bit your finger off. Make a big yell of ouch! But not directed at the puppy, at your finger. Attend to the finger and keep turning away from the puppy, ignore it. Keep ignoring it for at least ten minutes. The puppy will learn real fast how hard to play or bite. The last thing the puppy wants is to lose its play mate.

don't ever ever ever yell at your dog. There's no need and it causes more problems than it can ever solve, as you've already learned.

How old is the puppy? Puppies that are taken from the pack before 12 weeks are often not socialized by their litter mates & mom to not bite.

Keep chews handy (not Greenies, they have killed lots of dogs) and gently but firmly redirect his chewing to the proper object. Tell him GOOD BOY when he chews on the correct object.

Instead of NO when he chews on you, try OUCH! and act like it hurt. Dogs quickly learn not to hurt the alpha.
