From my conversations with different believers from just about all Christian denominations, quite a feel that only they have the true religious teachings.

The bible teaches that to be a Christian one must follow Jesus example as best as they can. Can I get your feedback? I would very much appreciate it.

Steve, Babs, rwalker, I like those points. No one really knows the whole truth and there are all different denominations. It must come down to how a Christian is living, with faith and love toward others.

I have read a lot of your previous answers Matt D. You have given me a lot of insight.
Ello: I too have read into many beliefs but still I come down to being a Christian. Good thoughts.

Yes! God was very specific in the Old Testament, telling the Jews how He was to be worshiped. The Old Testament is used for our learning. God through Jesus has been very specific in telling us how we may be saved, it is through the Grace of God that we can all saved, but we must act on that grace by belief, confession and baptism and then following the New Testament teachings of how God is to be worshiped.
We can not worship God in anyway that we feel but by the ways God through the Apostles has told us how to worship. God did not intend for any divisions but for unity.
Respectfully,

There is only one true way. Jesus says he is the way and no one comes to the Father except by him. I don't look at denominations anymore. Either you are a believer in Christ and you follow the narrow path, or you don't. Whether you baptize or sprinkle, speak in tongues or sit quietly during service, whatever. The Bible has the answers and people dispute anyway. But that doesn't affect the plan of salvation. If you truly repent of your sins, accept God's gracious gift and commit your life to Jesus Christ our Savior, then you are saved and heading towards Heaven, no matter what denomination society sticks you under. Religion is just that. Religion. It's rules and such. But when Jesus died for us, we were freed from the law and no longer are chained down to those rules. We should still obey them, but we are free. Being a Christian is about a relationship with Jesus, not following all these man made rules that make up religion. Well, sorry, kinda ranted on a bit. Good question by the way, have a blessed day.

All Christians, regardless of their denomination, believe that Jesus Christ is the only one true way. What differs is their doctrine, which is how they interpret truth and what is required of someone to "follow Jesus".

Christianity in all it's various forms still holds Jesus Christ, who He is and what He has done, as the basic tenet of their faith and belief. Why? He is the only way they have come to know the living God as a real, dynamic, and spiritual force within their life. The truth of this is evident by God touching their hearts and lives, as He has done to millions for thousands of years. In doing this, their lives have changed as they enter into a new life, are "born again", into a very real relationship with God.

How they live that life has always been the controversy. One says we must do this, another says we need to do that, and yet another will say that they are the only true way. Does it all really matter? We can all become very "religious" about how we live our lives. The truth is God wants our love, each of us individually, and expresses His love to us through His Holy Spirit, which he has given to all who believe. It is about living a Spiritual life with Him, not a religious one as defined by the various churches and denominations.

I am a christain but I do not follow any of the established churches of today.I believe that all religions on this planet hold bits and pieces of the truth. The bible is the biggest source of this in my opinion and I do believe that christ died on the cross for me.But I believe that God has sent prophets to this planet many ties over and their deads and words have been printed many times over.If you look at the core beliefes of most modern religions they all teach the same thing."Be kind to your fellow man" I know of no religion that out and out tells you to kill, murder ,maim your fellow man.To lie, cheat and steal from your fellow man.All religions have merit and should be looked at with open eyes.I personally have read multiple versions including one that was close to 300 years old and that was an eye opener because there where thing that where differnt in minor ways.I have read the Torrah, the Korran, books on Budism, Hinduism, Confusim, Wicca, Taoism, and yes I even read the Satanic bible in all of its tristed believes many of which are slightly perverted christian believes. In the end I found my own faith.I call myself a christian because I still am after my search for the truth.I'm just not a follower of a church.

Matthew 7:13-14
Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:
14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.
Sounds to me like there is only one way. As for the faith alone saves guys who answered...

Yes, I do believe there is only one true way. However, I don't believe anyone has found it, because if they had everyone would agree upon it. I do believe Jesus leads us to salvation but I don't think the bible is 100% accurate because it has been tampered with and translated so many times throughout history. Many books have been withheld and even worse burned throughout history. We will never find the one true way until Jesus returns and shows it to us. : )

There is only one truth, and we all, atheist and believer, search for it. As a Christian, I do not proclaim to know The Truth, just the truth as I understand it, and my understanding of it grows and changes as much as a child grows and changes into an adult. What I believe now is vastly different from what I believed when i was a child, but it's also similar. Some things changed, some things I came to understand better. This process will continue until I'm dead, as it will for all people who truly seek the truth. I don't expect to know the whole and perfect truth in this lifetime, but I continue my search just in case.

Christ said it Himself that He is the only way, the truth and the life. No one gets to the Father but through Him. He set an example for us to follow by grace and faith through Him.

the only way is through JESUS but that does not say anything about what the true religious belief is that will take you to Heaven. The only way that we will know what religion is the one true religion is when we die and guess what? it just might be too late then.
