They are a group founded about 130 years or so ago, who believe most of the doctrines of mainstream Christianity are wrong. There are about 6 million of them now, led by a group of men called the Governing Body. They don't allow members to disagree with the Governing Body, and all are required to shun people who leave their organization (including family). Members aren't allowed to talk to or read things by people who have left, or who oppose their teachings. Examine both sides carefully before deciding to get involved with them.

a heretical cult that came into existance through a self-proclaimed prophet in the 19th century, who proclaimed the end of the world several times. each time the end did not come, his date moved back and the error was explained away by gibberish more ridiculous than before.
this is, by the way, is not the most shocking fact about jehovahs witnesses.

Jehovah's Witnesses are people from all walks of life that have come to an accurate knowledge of the things that Jesus taught and they try to imitate him in walking right. They do the things he did, for example helping people come to understanding of the bible so they too can have a opportunity to live on earth forever.
They believe and follow Jesus commands at Mathew 28:18.19.
They help people see what Jesus meant at Mathew 5:5 and Psalms 37;9-11,29. They pray that God's Kingdom rule will come soon to the earth Mathew 6:10,Daniel 2:44, Revelation 21:3,4.
They are also hated for the stand they take in being politically neutral as Jesus was because to take part in worldly affairs makes a person an enemy of Jehovah God. James 4:4(as you see by some of the answers you already have.)

What is man that God is not always mindful of him or her.

At least they are organized I can say that. Going from door to door telling people there is a better way. Harmless most of them.

There are some devils in every society. But God is good he does not allow our foot to strike against a stone...for the angels of the lord are encamped about us. Matthew 4:6.

God says put not your trust in any man...but study the word for yourself that you may not be ashamed.

They are followers of that pervert Moses and his syphilitic half-brother Aaron.
They said to be witnesses for Jehovah. Never mind that Jehovah was an invention of their twisted minds.

then there's the end of the world predictions that were posted in their magazine watchtower, when the moon appeared above the watchtower that was when the world would end. this prediction was made on several ocassions, and as you can see, it was wrong.

They are a religious group that believes in God (his name is Jehovah) but not Jesus. They think that only 144,000 people will enter heaven, and that they are already there. They require that their members give almost all their posessions to the church. You cannot vote or otherwise take part in the government process. You cannot give blood. They do not celebrate any holidays, including birthdays.

Jehovah's Witnesses are a Christian religion which understands the Scriptures to teach that God's Kingdom by Christ Jesus is a real government which will soon replace all earthly governments.
(Daniel 2:44) God of heaven will set up a kingdom... It will crush and put an end to all these kingdoms, and it itself will stand to times indefinite

That Kingdom will rule over the vast majority of mankind, most of whom will have been raised from the dead after Armageddon.
(John 11:23,24) Jesus said to her: “Your brother will rise.” Martha said to him: “I know he will rise in the resurrection on the last day.”
(Acts 24:15) There is going to be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous.

Until that resurrection, there is no suffering in "hell", or the grave. Sometime after the resurrection, death and "hell" will themselves be destroyed.
(Ecclesiastes 9:5) For the living are conscious that they will die; but as for the dead, they are conscious of nothing at all
(Ecclesiastes 9:10) there is no work nor devising nor knowledge nor wisdom in Sheol ["hell"]
(Revelation 20:14) And death and Hades ["hell"] were hurled into the lake of fire

While a limitted number of humans will be resurrected to heaven to share in ruling over mankind, the vast majority (literally more than 99.9%) of Jehovah's Witnesses expect an EARTHLY hope, the same hope given to Adam and Eve.
(Genesis 1:28) God blessed them and God said to them: “Be fruitful and become many and fill THE EARTH and subdue it [caps added]
(Genesis 2:17) You must not eat from it, for in the day you eat from it you will positively die [so never eating from that tree means never dying]

Interestingly, the Scriptures are full of references to this earthly hope.
(Psalms 37:11) 'the meek will possess the earth'
(Proverbs 2:21) 'upright will reside in the earth'
(Isaiah 45:18) 'God formed the earth to be inhabited'
(Matthew 5:5) 'the mild will inherit the earth'
(Revelation 21:3) The tent of God is with mankind
