HDMI is a digital interface
S-Video is analog video
So, there is no way (and no reason) to convert one to another without some conversion citrcuitry.
Even if you convert it, the output can only be as good as the input source, which does not help you much.

Your looking to take analog video and 'upconvert' it to digital (HDMI). Well there are devices to do that, but they are costly. Your probably better off purchasing an Onkyo 674 or 605 receiver that will take any composite, component or HDMI input and upconvert it to HDMI.
