I just used three large cinnamon swirl bagels, one small plain bagel and two leftover dinner rolls. Because of the type of bread I
increased the custard mixture. I also used white and brown sugar in the custard. Just wondering if anyone has ever made a bread pudding recipe with bagels.

I did one time. It's a good thing you made extra custard mix. I didn't and I didn't give the custard enough time to soak into the bagels the pieces of bagel were good until you got to the middle of them then it was just a plain bagel. I have also used stale cinnamon rolls for bread pudding now that was good.
If you use the recipe answer be careful that you don't curdle the egg while heating.

I made this one. I think it works.

Bagel Pudding Recipe
1 Cinnamon raisin bagel (you could use plain and add cinnamon and raisins)
1 egg
3/4 c milk or 1/2 & 1/2
2 Tbsp sugar
2 Tbsp butter/margarine-melted
1 Tbsp vanilla

Cut bagel into 1/2 inch cubes to obtain 1 1/2 cups. Beat egg, stir in milk, sugar, butter and vanilla. Heat slowly until just warm, stir in bagel cubes. Cover and place in refrigerator 30 minutes or more, stirring once or twice.

Pour into small buttered casserole dish, cover with foil. Bake at 325F for 25-30 minutes. Test center for doneness. Serve hot with whipped cream flavored with vanilla.

No, but day old plain or sugar donuts work really good.

not really, but i would soak your larger breads longer in your egg and milk batter ,no reason that it wouldn't work.
