NOPE, absolutely no person can hold someone or anybody at gunpoint legally. Why is the next time you will ask. Because it is usually against their will obviously. Since when did you know that a person will certainly do everything you ask him without a gun? None I suppose, but with a gun pointed at him, a person is compel to do the impossible that you will ask of her/him. This is not permitted in the real world we live in. This is infrigement to liberty and life and against humanity as a whole.

So next time you decided to hold someone at gunpoint be sure you are ready to face the penalty of imprisonment or be ready to die.

Yes you can, especially an intruder inside your house, or someone trying to rob you on the outside, like in the case of a carjacking.

Yes you certainly can. Of course you must have a good reason, and by that I mean a reason that is acceptable under the law, not just one that feels good to you.

If you caught someone committing a crime, yes...you can. And the cops would probably thank you before they even thought about pressing charges against you.

I believe the answer would be no. The best thing to do is to contact your local law enforcement agency and ask them. Maybe even contact a lawyer.

In Texas you might be able to even though I'm not sure if that's true.

You might be able to if they invade your home.

Again, the best thing to do is contact the police and ask them and/or ask a lawyer.
