Don't be IGNORANT.....I just want to know your opinions. If you don't know anything about them then ask what you would like to know.

Jehovah's Witnesses have the true religion. They are Christian (of course), but they are unique for their rejection of paganisms, use of God's personal name, and global preaching by every active adherent. No other religious organization can claim such purity of worship.

These facts about Jehovah's Witnesses are perhaps relevant to this question. The more one compares this Christian religion with others, the more remarkable it is shown to be.

1. Jehovah's Witnesses have no paid clergy. Yet they remain tightly organized with more than 6.5 million active Jehovah's Witness preachers (about 16 million associate themselves with the religion). Even fulltime preachers and workers at their branch offices are unpaid volunteers.

2. There is no elite class among Jehovah's Witnesses. Even the few 'anointed' among them enjoy no special privileges in their congregations on earth. An anointed person (one of those relative few with a heavenly hope) is not elevated above his fellow congregants in any way, and he may not even qualify for appointment as a simple 'deacon' or elder. There are no titles; EVERYONE is addressed as 'brother' or 'sister'.

3. No person benefits economically from the Christian Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses. Even the 8 to 20 men who serve on their Governing Body receive simply room, board, medical care, and reimbursement for certain personal expenses according to the exact same provision as every other branch volunteer.

4. About a hundred men have served on Jehovah's Witnesses' Governing Body committee during the past 125 years or so. The vast majority of them have spent the vast majority of their adult lives volunteering for their organization's purposes, and the vast majority have died faithfully and near-pennilessly while still under their legal 'vow of poverty'.

5. Amazingly, Jehovah's Witnesses did not splinter as a sect from some other religion. Instead, a truly tiny but sincere group of bible students studied only the Scriptures to determine the will of God. Thus their religion remains absolutely independent of and not carrying the sins of Christendom's history, yet carries the authority of Christ's teachings.

6. Despite the distortions of anti-Witnesses, throughout their modern history Jehovah's Witnesses have refused to claim divine inspiration or infallibility for their teachings. They have pointed to the bible (and not any particular translation) as the only inspired infallible means of knowing God's thoughts. For over 125 years, their teachings have been presented as merely the results of sincere bible research by imperfect but godly humans.

I hope that you can follow at least one or two links form those who have come out of the Witnesses....Yo will get a rosy picture of what they say to believe, but if you dig deeper you will find a cult with teeth...i spent 22 years as a witness, and it has taken me the rest of my life to finally get an accurate understanding of Grace.

They are a works based religion that uses manipulation and fear to keep you from looking at the sites that I will give you....If yo are a Witness, yo can be excommunicated for even speaking to an ex Witness or looking at non Witness approved material or sites.....

may God direct you to actual truth

My Wife and I searched for the truth until we studied with Jehovah's Witnesses.
Once we studied with them we could see that God's Holy Spirit was clearly on this Religion. We were baptized in August 1996.

Three words: Guilt, Guilt Guilt.
JWs seem to be deeply into guilt and self-loathing. I think they addict people into the rituals of self-hatred. If you asked them how much of the world was evil, they would say 110%. They believe in great spiritual wars being waged by devils, angels, and spirits that propel people into the middle of battles for souls. People are already tending to be evil, so it's the good guy spirits that have the most work to do. The evil spirits have all the advantages. The flesh is irrelevant.

I belive that they are sincere in what they believe, the problem is that they are very close minded almost to the extreme of being brain washed by their leaders that make up all the rules and regulations that they must follow if they want to be apart of the kingdom that they belive is the real thing, unfortunetly much of their belief is not biblical

Every time I've interacted with the ones who've shown up on my doorstep, they've been pushy & I've felt like they were trying to shove their way into my house like thieves or worse.

The only girl I've known in school who was a Jehovah's Witness was someone I didn't choose to be around for very long because she was constantly saying, We can't do this or that or whatever you suggested because it's against my religion. She never suggested anything to do. No TV, no library, no riding bikes, no playing with my dogs, etc.

I wish there was a no knock list. Just like the no call list for telemarketers. It drives me nuts when I'm hanging out at home and these people bug me. I have better things to do than listen to their s h i t!!

I don't until they come to the door, then I wish they hadn't, and hope they don't ask me about my religious beliefs because they always get offended when I present them and make a more convincing presentation of my beliefs than they could of their own. I feel like I've embarrassed them, and I don't like doing that or feeling that way. I'm passionate about my beliefs and I am unable to present them without passion.

I don't agree with their religion, I don't like them or Mormons or salespeople knocking on my doors.

But I believe in freedom of religion, so of course it should be granted to them.

I am appalled at the violence that was directed at the JW's in the 40's. A mini holocaust was carried out against them because of their religious objection to pledging the flag.

Although I am minorly annoyed at their door to door proselyzing, I think the minor annoyance they pose, pales in comparison to crimes against humanity that they have endured in America's fairly recent history.

2 things
we don't knock at your door for your money, come on..... God can support his own people right?
and, if you don't want us to come to your door, next time they knock at your door, politely tell whoever it is that you would appreciate it if they stopped coming. they will most likely spread the word that you don't like beign visited, and respect your decision
