I already answered with Paganism and Buddhism as my answers. I have a degree in religion that I earned at an accredited school, so I have studied religion quite a bit. If you want to learn more about either religion, start off at http://beliefnet.com for a basic rundown. However, I suggest you go to your public library and check out some books. Buddhism books will be easier to find. I suggest anything written by the Dalai Lama, who is Tibetan Buddhist. If you can find someone who is Buddhist, talk to him or her. Visit a temple, or participate in meditation. Buddhists strive to reach enlightenment and they believe in reincarnation.

As for Paganism, that is the umbrella term for many, many different types of religions. Wicca falls under the term, so go to http://witchvox.com for more information about them. Otherwise, you should read Paganism: An Introduction to Earth- Centered Religions by Joyce Higginbotham for an easy introduction. Many Pagans practice religion on their own, so you'll need to do a lot of reading and research on your own. Pagans have ritual, and their holidays are at the solstices, equinoxes, plus the in-between holidays. They respect the Earth and other people.

I will not claim to be a religious expert.

However, I am of the opinion that Deism would be the religion that is supportive of gay and animal rights. The founding fathers of the USA, Franklin, Jefferson, et al. were in some form Deists. Take a look at the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution of the USA. I realize that at the time of their writing there was slavery, no women's rights and a host of other inequities, but still the words of those documents are very powerful and uplifting.

No one is likely to care for my answer but to me it seems like what you are looking for is acceptance. You can only find real acceptance when you make peace with what you truly believe god to be. Most people will tell you to hug a tree..or a Wiccan if you want someone that loves animals and gay people but there are people within the Wiccan faith that will tell you it is wrong. There are people within the Christian faith that will tell you god hates gays....and note for everyone here. There were no statements admonishing homosexuality until the king James version of the bible. King James was gay and they wanted him to give up the crown...so get over that idea too. Honestly it is not a matter of finding a faith that will say anyone person ( or animal ) has more rights then any other. It is a matter of finding the faith that speaks to your soul. You will not go to hell for thinking it is wrong for people to hold cock fights. You will not go to hell for loving someone that another person wouldn't. God, whatever you believe god to be, gave you free will and that god will not punish you for loving....after all god is supposed to like love.

Blessed Be.

** Fun fact of the day** There are 386 admonishments to a man having sex with a woman in the bible, but there are only 3 to a man having sex with another man...you try and figure that one out.

There are at least religions - the "Abrahamic" religions not among them - that aren't specifically opposed to those rights. Buddhism generally takes non-killing seriously, and many Buddhists are vegetarians. Plus, there's no anti-gay dogma in Buddhism.

You have only to read some of the other answers to see how many "Christians" feel about these issues. And only a truly warped and twisted individual could make a statement like "Some cults or sects may believe in human rights but I suggest you research it and realise how wrong all this human 'rights' stuff is."

It is the very oldest religion, and it is written on the human heart in indelible ink. It may be hidden by many things, but it remains unaltered for all to see, and lie about if they choose.

Even Socrates saw it clearly; "And as for what is good and what is bad, are we needing anyone to tell us of these things?"
( He had just questioned a five-year-old, and proved that the child knew as much about it as one of the chief justices of Athens.)

Secular humanism. It elevates man to the status of God. Rights are unknown in the Bible. Rights come from Revolution and Declarations, the United Nations and the European Union. They are ALWAYS minority rights and never require corresponding responsibilities. They are designed to break up cultures and societies and let lawyers and political activists inflict the strange demands of a tiny percentage of the population on the remainder. Some cults or sects may believe in human rights but I suggest you research it and realise how wrong all this human "rights" stuff is.

Budhists, Hindus, Taoists and Most pagan sects. Animist traditions also tolerate gays and believe that animals are just other tribes. Methodists and Mennonites also have long traditions of Tolerance and Stewardship--although they sometimes need reminding.

I am sorry, but off the top of my mind, I can't remember where it says to be good to your beasts (which are the animals) but it definitly does say that.....so mistreating an animal is cruel and a sin.

Gay rights????
Romans 1:26 -
For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:

Romans 1:27 -
And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.

Romans 1:31
Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful:

Wicca is open to alternitive sexualities, and is very supportive of animal rights. Also known as Witchcraft, Wicca is a polythiestic theology which honors nature (and all things living) as divine. The one universal "law" as it could be considered, the Wiccan Rede, goes-- "an ye harm no other, do as you will..."
