ive lost my kitten. ive been searching all day for her and cant find her any where. I brought her home from a farm as she was in a very bad condition and cleaned her up. She stayed inside the house with me then moved downstairs to another room. i was suppose to take her to be vaccinated and microchipped today. i was cleaning her room today and put her out. moments later she ran into the shed which was open. after tidying up i tried getting her out but she ran straight past me and out in to the garden. i didnt even see which direction she went!! ive been speaking to the neighbours and have left food out on her own. just hope she comes back im so worried as shes still very young and has never been out. any advice on what i can do please????? thank u ! aminah

a little while ago one of my precious cats went missing and i completely understand how you feel. many people just believe that animals are not as important as humans but from my point of view they are just as important and also just as loved. the worst thing with me was that he went missing for a week and we had no idea where he was.. i hated not knowing.
i cannot say anything to make you feel better as nothing probably will but wat i can say is that ther are some things that you can do to help with the search
1.contact any cats protection shelters near by your area
2. contact any animal shelters
3. put out posters or post letter through peoples door
4. if there are any stables or barns near you ask if you can look at them to see if she has hidden inside as she may well do
if none of these work then i am afriad all you can do is wait .. one night my cat just came strolling back as though nothing had happened!
i hope that you find her
as you did an amazing thing by taking her in and no matter what i wil be thinking of you, however cheesy that sounds
i hope this has helped and i wish you the best of luck

am sorry to hear this
First of all put her litter tray outside the door - also if you have any clothing or toys that has her or your scent on place this outside too.
Keep a downstairs window open, so she can get access into the house.
If she is not back tonight - start putting leaflets up around the neighbourhood (offer a reward - but please do not mention how much the reward is) contact local vets and animals rescue's ASAP (cats protection league etc)
If this fails you have to think further a field - cats can wander a fair distance when lost
contact the missing pets bureau and the local papers to place an ad
www.missingpetsbureau.com
If she is insured contact your insurer, they can help fund adverts etc
Hopefully she will turn up before you need to do all this.
Please don't just sit and wait as advised by others - your cat can move fast and over a fair distance - you need to take action straight away - good luck

If there are any parked cars nearby check those too, as cats will often crawl up and hide in the engine space. (It's what one of mine did). Ask neighbours to bib the horn before starting the engine just to be on the safe side.
If your kitten isn't used to being outside, she could be hiding somewhere locally and is too afraid to venture out. Post notes, with a description or photo of your kitten, through the doors of people in nearby streets asking them to check their gardens and sheds. If you have local shops, ask them to put a note in their window.
I hope she turns up soon. Good luck.

Your saying she was due Vaccinations.so I'm presuming shes 12wks old. poor little mite.shes most probably hiding in the bushes.Do as your doing. but get in your garden and call her name.especially when its dark and quiet. get her food ready but make sure she has to come out into the open to get it.dont push it under bushes or sheds for her.otherwise she will stay put,
Poor little things had a rough start.lets hope she realises your her mum and returns, get her pic & details onto the cat sites /vets/And local papers.

She should come back when she's hungry, leave food out for her and keep an ear out for her at the back door and make sure you leave something open for her to get it should she not be back by the tiume you go to bed.
Try not to worry, she's just exploring her new surrondings.
Hope this helps

If the farm she was born is not far from you maybe she's headed in that direction. I think it's more likely she's curled up sleeping somewhere. She'll be back when she's hungry! Good luck - and let us know when she comes traipsing home!

If you have dry food take the box and shake it and call her kitty kitty...walk everywhere and do this...But don't forget to LISTEN. It may have got stuck in a garage or basement or car for that matter! LISTEN FOR IT'S LITTLE MEOW! Good luck honey
I really hope you find your kitty!

Check the farm where she was born. She may have gone back there.

About all you can do is wait. Apparently she is scared. Leave food out, and watch if it is eaten, and keep it out. Eventually you should see her if she is around.
