I'm sure they have people out there with more DUI's than that without ever spending time in prison.

Very possibly, unfortunately. I'm sure that in some locations, the punishment may be harsher, and rightfully so, but I have seen at least one individual who had 7 DUI arrests, three active with warrants, and never spent more than a weekend in jail waiting to be bonded out. The seriousness of the circumstance will also be a weighing factor.

How long a lifetime? One DUI every 5 years will probably not result in jail without additional factors.

I know a man from my home town and he has had seven and still hasn't seen inside of prison.............daddy's money.
