I would use an off white color. Something very light or your room is going to be very dark and dreary.

Wooden floors are nice if complemented with the right surface colors. Id be tempted to go for a classy look and paint the walls a very light mushroom color, maybe with a few splashes of color (ie, artwork or picture frames dotted about).
Off-white stone colors and magnolia would work too, if a bit boring.
Keep it light and airy, the floor is dark enough and so it will make the room look very small and claustrophobic if you choose another color.
Remember paint always looks darker when its on the walls, than it does on the sample sheet and in the tin. Dont be afraid to go for something bright either, a bright red or greeny blue could look awesome too, but it really depends on what room it is, and how you intend to use it

Consider:
ivory or soft white
powder pink
dusty rose
scarlet
peach
orange
butter yellow
golden yellow
mint green
pale lime
jade green
kelly green
aqua
powder blue
turquoise
smoke blue
lavender
purple
light caramel [ yellow tinge ]
beige [ pink tinge ]
If room is small, stick with pastels. A larger room looks great in some brights; or brights and lights in same family [ like peach and rust ].

A lot depends on how large the room is, and what it will be used for. Is it a day room or a night room?
A day room should be bright and airy.
A night room wraps around you and envelopes you in an ambiance of warmth. Use dark complex earthy sunset hues if you're the more daring sort.

A lot depends on your furniture but I'd go for a medium to dark taupe. You could paint one small wall chocolate brown for an accent. There is also an orange/taupe mix or even go for an apricot or orange colour. Again, depends on your furniture colour.
