Asked just for fun. I have twins, almost 3 yrs., and one likes to hide stuff. I have about 6 hair scrunchies (yes, I still live in 1983) those stretchy, bunchy hair ponytail holders. He had them like two days ago and likes to wear them on one arm. They have since disappeared. He also does not know where they are, or doesn't remember. I have looked through the trash, although he doesn't normally throw things away. Anyway, if you were my scrunchies, where would you be?

My boys at that age always put things in the seat of their tricycles (they had the plastic fisher-price type tricycle with the seat that would lift up). Check any little boxes, backpacks, and lunch boxes, seems that they like to pack things up and carry them around at that age.
Hope you find them!

I love these questions. I have a just-over-two year old. My nail files are always disappearing (along with countless other things.) Sometimes he remembers, but not usually. However, he's very fond of wandering around the house with one finger on his chin saying "Hmmm.... Hmmm... Where could they BE!" (Definitely mimicking his mommy with that typical mommy-brain, I lose things every few minutes syndrome.) :-) Its so cute, its almost worth the lost items. It must be double trouble with twins!
The best place I ever found things was in one of the kitchen drawers. Every few days, I'd find one of his toy plates or plastic pieces of food. So, I watched him from the other side of the room one time and saw him put food inside the drawer. Then, he stood there and waited. After a few seconds he said "DING!" and opened the drawer and took the food out. When I asked what he was doing he said: "Cooking it in the toaster oven."
So, I dunno, if I were your scrunchies, I'd look in anything that could resemble where you normally keep them, or your jewelry drawer (since he wears them like bracelets.) Maybe he was pretending to do what you do with them.
Also, check behind the couch cushions... I find the strangest things there.
If not, chalk it up to good fun and write them off with all the rest of the toddler size socks that vanish daily.
(PS - I recently found scrunchies at RiteAid. Check your local pharmacy if you need replacements... I still use 'em too!)
Best of luck with your little ones... and your scrunchies.

I think your son is trying to tell you to go to CVS and buy some regular ponytail holders, not the big bunchy scrunchies.
If I were a scruchie, I would hide out with the stray socks that never came back from the wash.

Behind something you would never think to look behind. Try the fridge!
What about on a doll or teddy bear?
OR they might have just returned to the 1980's with your copy of Breakfast club!

Hiding from you. Us scrunchies prefer to be left alone.
