Easy trade it in and buy another truck. Your question lacks essentials like year and miles on the truck. The automatic can be a problem even the throttle cable is different and the throttle chamber has a second cable that go's to the transmission. I just replaced a 2000 truck transmission today with the same automatic. Owner towed it from Georgia with all the wheels turning the trans failed from lack of lubrication. There are lots of differences.
