Abreva is a recent product on the Market. I have tried it and it really works. It is much better than home remedies I used in the past. You can get it over the counter at drug stores.

1000 mgs of LYSINE 3 times a day the minute you feel a cold sore coming on. It prevents the cold sore/fever blister from developing completely but you have to take it RIGHT away and religously. It does work, it's the only thing that works for me.

I agree with the Lysine treatment. It will shorten the time the cold sore lasts too.

If they are inside your mouth, rinse with diluted hydrogen peroxide. Mix it with and equal amount of water.
