Abreva is a recent product on the Market. I have tried it and it really works. It is much better than home remedies I used in the past. You can get it over the counter at drug stores.

1000 mgs of LYSINE 3 times a day the minute you feel a cold sore coming on. It prevents the cold sore/fever blister from developing completely but you have to take it RIGHT away and religously. It does work, it's the only thing that works for me.
