Do you have a friend who is Catholic that could help rejuvenate your spirit? Ask your friend what helps her/him with religion, and perhaps have some discussions or participate in ritual. Why did you decide to be Catholic in the first place? Refresh your memory and that might help. Do some service for others less fortunate than you.
If anything, doing some research about other religions could help you appreciate your own. I'm not saying you should switch paths, but learning about other religious beliefs can help your beliefs be stronger. You can learn about the similarities of your path with others, and learning about how others are religious is fun as well. Just head to your local library and check out some books. I'd suggest reading anything by the Dalai Lama, such as "The Art of Happiness."

The best and first place for you to go is to Mass. Go to God’s house and adore Him in the Blessed Sacrament. Receive Him in Holy Communion. It doesn’t get any more personal than that. It doesn’t get any more healing than that.
Next, study your faith. Get a catechism if you don’t have one and a bible. The Catholic encyclopedia is also a great source for your education.
Devote yourself to prayer. Communion with God through prayer is a very deep, personal thing. Did you know the holy Mass is the highest, most incredible form of prayer that we have?
God’s peace and grace be with you. Take care.

Consider speaking with a priest, and tell him any concerns that you may have. He'll also be glad to give you pointers in coming back to the Church. Go to Confession if feel you need to. If you are a baptized and confirmed Catholic, just start going back to Mass and taking the Holy Eucharist, if you feel you're ready for that. If you haven't yet been formally confirmed into the Church, ask the priest to help you with that, as well.

Being religious has nothing to do with buildings
As soon as you decide to believe you are religious as soon as you chose to ignore you are not.
As simple as that. Many a Mafia boss has and is a Catholic. Going to Church doesnt make you good staying at home doesnt make you bad. Its your intent that counts!

I was like you not too long ago. How I was able to find my connection again was to find a church that would teach me more of what all the stuff in the Bible was really all about. A group of people that were all willing to do one thing: find God together.
Take a look in your neighborhood for a good non-denominational Christian church that focuses on bible study sermons. Also, I found a church that had a band and did dramas and comedies to go with the service. It made a huge difference in my life.
I pray the Spirit leads you back.

I would suggest that many folks who regularly attend church are not religious in the true sense of the word .
If you are so sad then it seems to me you should return to the church and hopefully you can reconnect with your faith .
If you do return and it doesn't renew your faith , then at least you have tried .
Good Luck

Go to Catholic Charismatic, they teach more than religion, they teach a relationship with Jesus as their personal savior and friend.
this is how I came to believe and they taught me this with alot of help from the bible=No -if you understand what true Judaism is
and Hell is in the Jewish scriptures Daniel 12:2 "Some will rise to everlasting life and some to everlasting abhorance."
true Judaism believes in the Messiah Jesus=Judaism would mean a follower of Moses and Isaiah the prophet yet to those that claim to do this they will say that even an athiest Jew is Jewish but if a Jew believes in the Messiah he is no longer a Jew
interesting-the claim by some here to be Jewish is to reject Moses word from God that we must have a blood atonement to forgive sins as a Jewish person (Leviticus 17:11) &Isaiah 52:13-53:12 Where the Messiah to be exalted is "He is despised and rejected, and lays down his life to make atonement for our sins."
Christianity means a follower of the Messiah-be they Jewish or gentile/non Jewish. the word comes from the Hebrew for the anointed one Moshiach/Messiah in English & Cristos in Greek.
To be a follower one must believe Moses, Isaiah and the predicted Jesus-Yeshua in Hebrew.
I am born Jewish and am a true Jew following our Messiah.
He stated from heaven = "I love you, turn from your sins (even one lie) and turn to me repenting. Behold I stand at your heart door and knock if you ask me in, I will become your friend and you mine." Revelation 1:1 & 3:19&20
so I prayed, "Forgive me for my sins, come into my heart and be my friend, amen"
Now as a true Jew along with many non Jews I am a follower of the Messiah, my savior and best friend.
Also this new covenant for our Jewish people was predicted in Jeremiah 31:31 "I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, not like the one I made with Moses, and you shall be my people and I will be your God."
no longer only the high priest of Judaism would go into the temple once a year on Yom Kippur to make the blood sacrifice of an innocent lamb to make atonement for each Jewish person. Now we personally each who choses to do so knows the Messiah personally =
Isaiah 9:6 "Unto us a child is born a son is given, and his is mighty God, the prince of peace..."
thanks very much for your good question, and praying for you too as a friend to find a local Church there that has these meetings or to go to a convention with them-Assemblies of God is the nearest other place you will learn this teaching too.

Hello you said your faith, i am a Seventh Day Adventist, and religion means belief, if all you have is a belief than your in the same boat with satan. In James 2;19 satan believes, [has religion] and trembles, its not enough to believe but to BE-LIVE also Jesus said of Himself
John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. If you want to improve your "religion" and make it solid try some free bible lessons www.amzingfacts.org God bless.

Contact the church, meet with a priest, deacon, or anyone from the RCIA classes, explain your problem.....I have found the Catholic church to be very loving and rewarding. They would welcome you back with open arms, and do whatever they could to help you.
I will pray for you.

start by going to confession. then go to MASS and receive Holy Communion. that is the best way to start. when you to confession tell GOD that you are sorry that you stopped going and that you are wanting to start back because He and the Holy Trinity are important to you. start reading your Bible. I have one that makes it real easy. you can get it from any Christian book store. it goes by daily readins. it gives you an old testament reading and a new testament reading and a psalms reading. the readings are all short but are all important for us in our daily lives. it might help you get back into a daily routine. also start saying you rosary beads again. May GOD BLESS you and keep you in the PALMS of HIS HANDS.
