I'm sure there is some phallic imagery going on here.
The horn was always a representation of power, that may or may not have anything to do with it.
Perhaps its the power of a woman that isn't suppressible (is that a word?) by patriarchy. Im just taking a stab at it here.

Buddhism seems to equate the unicorn with the rhinoceros, a beast of very great power indeed.
Just thought I'd pop that in to show that I'm interested.
The whiteness of the unicorn and its phallic forehead seem to suggest a male 'virgin' but I'm just guessing.
Do tell.

Well, if a virgin is an independent woman who has no need of a man, I suppose that for such a strong and independent lady who didn't need a man, maybe she could use the unicorn for....that is to say, when she is in the mood...
