I do!
Begin driving by yourself on short trips to the store when there isn't much traffic (early Sat./Sun. morning or during the evening hours). Also continue to drive while your parent is in the car too. It will increase their confidence in your driving and they will learn to trust your skills too.
You will still make occasional mistakes and second guess your decisions while you gain experience.
Drive in town first and eventually you will feel confident to make a short merge and travel on the freeway (go when it isn't busy).
Good luck!

It takes some getting used to. Take a few drives by yourself and find out what helps you feel less alone. Crank the music, sing, "dance". Play little "games" on the road.
I always like driving by myself to and from school (about three hours) because it is "me" time, a time when I can think and not be worried about entertaining passengers. Stay focused though, and don't be stupid. If you think that a car is going to hit you don't get cocky thinking they will stop, you should just stop and let them drive where they think they are going and you can start again.
This is an exciting time! Enjoy it!

At first keep your drives short and on know streets with limited traffic. This is the best place to make the little mistakes that will happen. Once your skill and confidence increases take on some less busy secondary streets and then the bigger main streets and express ways. Where ever you drive pay attention and follow the rules of the road and you can drive anywhere.
