Hi there!
Just a quick question. My favourite drink (and pretty much my ONLY drink) that I've ordered for the past 3 years when I go out to the bars or clubs has been a Rye and Coke...however, I'm looking to "mix-it-up" a little, and try something new.
A few things though.
I'm female, but not into those "girly" sugary drinks (they make me feel sick) - so coolers, Sex on the Beaches, Vodka Cran...those are all out.
Beer to me is my go-to drink when I'm camping, and it makes me burp (haha), so I prefer not to drink it at the bar.
Basically, I'm looking for something along the lines of a Rye and Coke (It's hard, and has a punch to it...and let's face it, if I want to get drunk, it does the job! Haha!) But I'm just really getting sick of the Rye and Coke taste.

Any suggestions!
Thanks a bunches!

Bloody Mary, Gin and Tonic, Martini, Jack and Coke, all not too sweet and should do the job.

Ever try an "Attitude Adjuster" ? I know that you would rather 'not' have a beer, but....! Pour half a can/bottle of a beer that doesn't foam that easily (Miller's MGD) almost to the top of a glass (it's called a bucket). Get a shot glass of amaretto and float it with with 151 Bacardi rum. Here comes the fun part. Light the shot glass and drop it in the beer quickly, then, taking a deep breath, chug-a-lug that down, as fast as you can, without burning yourself (assuming that the flame is still lit) It is best, when the flame is out...duh. Within a few short minutes, you will feel the 'Buzz', changing that rotten attitude, into a happy one. Cheers.

You could try a Rusty Nail . . . It has a kick, and is not too "girly":

1 1/2 oz. Scotch
1/2 oz. Drambuie
Always pour the Drambuie last to allow it to mix with the lighter Scotch.

You can also add Coke to it to cut the strength down a bit.

My fiance used to be a Rye and Coke drinker until he also got sick of the flavor. He went to just straight whiskey after that, and that's what he generally drinks when we go out. Maker's Mark and Bulleit are his favorite bar whiskeys right now.

You could try a Manhattan...I kind of like these myself. Or, if you'd like to get away from the whiskey flavor all together, you could try Gin &Tonics. They are especially refreshing in the summer heat, but pack a punch to help get you buzzed.

A new drink I kinda came up with is Black Cherry Vodka and Mountian Dew, it tastes like a Lemon Jolly Rancher. Best of Luck!

Bacardi O and Ginger - Nice kick, not harsh.

White Russian - One of my personal favorites.

7 and 7 - Twist of lime.

**** Eartha Kitt gets a thumbs up. Not because I liked your drinks but b/c you're Eartha Kitt.
