There was someone recently who didn't like me for something that had nothing to do with me and doesn't want to change their mind. Is it wrong to give them a good solid reason for them not to like me or should I kiss up too them??

Is this someone who was an important part of your life before this happened, or did they just decide from the get-go that they don't like you?

If it's the first, give it time to let things blow over, and then see if there's enough relationship left to put it back together.

If it's the second, accept the fact that not everyone you meet is going to like you, you have no control over some decisions others make, and get on with your own life.

There is a middle ground between being vindictive and being a sycophant.

really just ignore them. there's no point in starting drama if you can avoid it. if they come at you with a lot of bullshit all the time, then yeah, give em a reason. but if they're just sitting back hating you, don't give them the time of day.

People should go directly to the source of conflict. If they did NOT give you an opportunity to explain. Don't bother. They aren't interested and are therefore NOT worthy of your attention or concern.

Ignore them altogether. Makes life easier.

Why do you care AT ALL about the opinion of someone whose judgement is clearly questionable?
