So take ibprophen. If fever lasts longer than 4 0r 5 days, it could be bacterial and you could require antibiotic. So if you have strep throat, (antibiotic needed) if mono (no antibiotic, but you have a 2 or 3 wk lay up)-lots of bed rest and popsickles for throat.

You have a sore throat. Fever means you have an infection.

See a doctor. You may need antibiotics.

In the meantime gargle with hot water with salt in it.

by fever all over your body you mean its heating up, really cold, sweaty? is everything moving really fast or really slow? your throat is burning, is there any blood in your mucus?

check with this page: http://familydoctor.org/online/famdocen/home/tools/symptom/503.html

see what it is, but even if it doesn't say to check with your doctor go check. better be safe than sorry.

are you coughing anything up? what does the back of your throat look like? do you have any white colored exudate on your tonsil?

more than likely its viral and you need to take fluids, tylenol and sleep it off. but its best to get it checked out by your doc since i can't see the back of your throat.
