not all trolls are bad, some can be cute or funny. it hurts me inside when peeps say bad things about us

The term "troll" can mean a number of different things, but in essence, a troll is a person who aims to have 'pleasure' at your expense. There are two main types of trolls:
People who are psychologically disturbed, and seek to feel good by making other list members feel bad. This is a sort of "psycho troll," whose deception involves deceiving themselves as well as others. In this respect, they are no different to the sorts of people we meet in everyday life who are disturbed - some of them are easy to spot, and others aren't. Such people may even use their real names on the internet, and they may not even realize that they are "trolling" because it is all subconscious.
People who pretend to be someone that they are not - they create persona that you think are real, but they know is fictitious.

Trolls are disembodied spirits, roaming the Internet. They long for their on corporal bodies, but are reluctant to return as they have no real life. Just a pulse, and malicious spirit...
On the other hand, some are really entertaining, sort of like mischievous leprechauns...

A troll is an Internet term for a Party Crasher. Someone who is not invited who is only there to get attention by disrupting.

Horridly vile monsters that live near or under bridges. They have a noxious odor which is able to incapacitate a human. They're quite large, strong, and prefer human fricassee in a dog turd sauce for dinner.
