He was'nt around during the time of Christ therefor the LAST SUPPER is his interpritation of what happened at The Last Supper.It's not like Davinci was there painting the Last Supper while it was transpiring
Now theres "The DaVinci Code" and this new story about mirroring the image of the Last Supper which will show one guy allegedly holding a baby.
Am I missing something here or did DaVinci somehow acquire inside information on Jesus?
I do believe in god but I am not one who bashes others for their beliefs or who is looking to find fault. I am just curious

Oooo I think people just love a mystery and , anything to do with Christianity always seems to stir up a lot of controversy.
We are supposed to take all of what we are taught about Jesus on faith, but few people can resist an 'answer' or a possible answer to the mysteries of faith .
What does it hurt to ask or wonder about these things.
If faith is a gift from God then each of us will understand what God wants us to .
I truly believe that Creator God loves each one of us and it does not matter what DaVinci meant in his painting .
It is my understanding that DaVinci was not much of a 'believer' in the first place and, that he was hired to do the LAST SUPPER painting

You're right, it's sort of silly that DaVinci would have "inside information" on Jesus.
Especially since he didn't care much for religion and didn't consider himself Christian most of his life (he just painted these scenes because that's what sold at the time).
I think all the hype is just because it's a painting everyone knows. Anything that popular and that old is bound to collect a few myths along the way.

You can find anything you like in work of art. You could probably find a devil in the painting if you looked at certain shapes. It's like looking at clouds, you can imagine different shapes and see faces.

I know, I agree. I think people will make up anything and people believe it. It's just grabbing at straws that are not there.
