See the Stix valley in southern Tassie, some of the oldest trees around (just beautiful), visit a place called Dismal Swamp in N.W. Tasmania its a Forestry tourist attraction in beautiful untouched wilderness, it even has a big slide you go down, great fun. Visit the west coast, Strahan, Queenstown , all those areas, go on a cruise, check out the APT Railway, it is a small track rail which winds its way through the forest (the best). Yes the Cadbury factory in Hobart has tours for the Chocolate lover. Port Arthur old convict site is a must do, it has convict tours of the hideous penal settlement past, very interesting. The east Coast is also lovely, beautiful remote beaches and great camping areas, good surf too if thats your thing. Also visit Marrawah on the far north west coast, cleanest air in the world according to the CSIRO, and also some of the best waves around. Some pretty areas along the north coast of Tassie also if you drive from say Smithton to the Tamar River and beyond, just gorgeous, you will love it. Too much to mention.

That is one of the most beautiful places on earth.
It's about relaxing, sight-seeing and enjoying amazing food. Here's a list:
Gordon River Cruise
Styx Valley
Air-walk (I think it's called) through the tall forests south of Hobart
The quadrant (including the lolly shop) in Launceston
Cradle Mountain
Bushwlaking (easy) in Mt Field National Park
Port Arthur and the features around it like the Devil's Kitchen and Tesselated Pavement
Frenchman's Cap
Orange Roughie (Ocean Perch - fish) in Strahan
Tasmanian Scallops
The Fudge Factory in Hobart
Cascade Brewery
A walk on the beach with someone you love in Swansea
St Columbus Falls near Derby in the NE
That should get you started!!!

Go on a package deal where u rent a car and u have an itinerary that takes u around the island whereby u have a motel room waiting for u in a different town each night.
That should take care of a week.I did it many years ago and it was worth it.
For the other week perhaps do something around Cradle Mountain and the Franklin River if you're feeling energetic

Tassie is all about natural beauty, so why not go for a hike in the bush, horse riding, bike riding, the beach etc.
It also has all the perks of a capital city such as cinemas, bar, pubs and clubs, museums, caefes reteraunts etc.
My advice- don't overlook the natural beauty that is Tasmania.
