I keep hearing that in heaven, all people are going to do is spend eternity worshipping God. Is that true? Couldn't the founders of the Christian faith have found something more... fun? Seriously, talk about boring! At least the Norse myth's had it right... drinking, fighting, womanizing, etc! Send ME to Valhalla if I have to go anywhere....

I know, you can't die the "straw" death, but think of the good times! and the conversation! "Good one with the chopping off of my leg! I'll get back at you tomorrow when it's good as new! HA HA HA!"

I have known fleshly pleasures and I have known what it is to be in the presence of the Living God.
I am at a loss to know how to compare the two.
Spiritual things are so far superior as to defy comparison. I think if you are so far deceived already your best option is to become a Muslim suicide bomber "martyr" and go for your 70 virgins on 70 sheets in 70 rooms.
It sounds like you have more in common with them than with those who love purity, righteousness and kindness.

Hang on to your hat cause this is gonna go quick. Christians ( at least most) believe that the reason man was created was to commune with God. That is why in the end we wind up spending eternity worshiping him. However, this is not all we get to do. Many believe that we also ( at least those taken in the rapture and who died before that) will get to rule and reign over the rest of humanity at this time. Apparently after all is said and done and God has remade the earth humanity will go on as it always had with the exception that it will only do God's will and not Satan's who will be impisoned in the lake of fire with all who ever served him. Mind you that the later (imprisonment) view is not held by some denominations eg Seventh Day Adventists but is held by most of "mainstream" Christianity

That's only part of it. There's also going to be feasting with wine included(it's scriptural) not to mention that each and every believer is going to have their own mansion and spiritual treasure according to what they have done, there are going to be things to do and places to explore i'm sure, the presence of the Lord will be better than anything you can comprehend. Imagine the only things you know of- a good time, a few rounds of decent beer, a woman who's a good kisser, an orgasm....whatever is good comes from God. If you are eternally in the presence of a God who allows you to experience pleasure or who loves you more than anyone else loves you then trust me, its gonna be good.

I am so up for Valhalla but you would have to die in combat. Heaven is by far the worst of the "good" after lives. Give me the Elysian Fields over it any day.
