An atheist who is wise in his own eyes, and doesn't realize that there are atheists who have been scared into becoming a Christian lol? Incredible. Yes, there are atheists who have become Christians because they didn't want to end up in Hell, duh.

Because atheists don't want to think that there is a final judgment, that would interfere with their living immorally. If they really examine themselves they would find that their line of thinking only leads to total hopelessness and that would cause them to admit that they are wrong. But, also, only those who are being called by God will turn to Him, therefore, witnessing to a stiff necked person is pointless unless God has been knocking on the door of their hearts.

If someone claims to be an ex-Atheist, he is just lying. I know because we Atheists subject our new members to intense North Korean brainwashing techniques to keep them Atheist. So if some Fundamentalist Christian claims he used to be an Atheist just to impress you, don't believe him! Ask him if he was an Atheist, what the Secret Password is. He'll tank!

We may have had a reason to be scared of extra-terrestrials like God when we were ignorant shepherds, with sheep-dung on our robes, and our women mere chattel who couldn't help getting pregnant, but there has been some human progress since then, my friend! If the alien Jehovah-One appears in the East, why, then NORAD Atlantic will blow him out of the sky!

But speaking of explosions: fallacies against Atheists are regularly exploded here:

I was a Christian who was scared into becomming an Atheist. All of that double-talk, superstition, mumbo-jumbo, three in one and one in three, angels, part human and part bird (freaks), 6000 year old world.
The more I studied Christianity, the sillier it got. As a kid, I liked fairy tales, but fairies are far more believable than anything that any religion has to offer.
Any intelligent person knows that we're all part of nature, and will end up in the same way.

WOW so one person went from being an Atheist to a Christian and you are quick to assume that all Atheists will convert to Christianity. WOW
Here let me give you a star for such silly nonsense idea.

By the way I converted from being religious to being NON-religious and there is NO HELL and IT IS a scare tactic to keep people in line and be nothing but good little sheep

you got it backwards. Most people assume God exists without having seen anything supernatural.

As for people be scared into joining religion it does happen..they get scared that the religious will hurt them for being an outsider since some religious think it is ok to rape, torture and kill if it is in the name of God....not many but there is a very small amount of people who think like that.

"there are atheists who have been scared into becoming a Christian "

Is that why you are a Xtian? Are you claiming Xtianity is a religion/refuge of cowards? Sad commentary...

"Because it works on them..."

Too bad you can't read. It is clear (from context) that the antecedent to "them" is Christians.

Thank you for the irony of seeing what you wanted to see, not what was there.

When you're moments from death, you'll do a lot to try and cling on.
