Psalms 37:10 And just a little while longer, and the wicked one will be no more;
And you will certainly give attention to his place, and he will not be.

11 But the meek ones themselves will possess the earth,
And they will indeed find their exquisite delight in the abundance of peace.

The original purpose for man and earth was to fill it with perfect people under God's rule. He does not do things half-way. Satan challenged God's right to rule man and earth. God has allowed time for that challenge to be settled.

That time is almost up. He will clean house and the wicked ones will no longer exist. The meek meaning understanding, teachable people who want to please God instead of themselves will possess the earth to bring it back to the original paradise condition and go from there. With God in charge and only meek on the earth, what else could there be but peace?

I think this scripture is self explanatory..

But to indulge.....to sum it up......Peace will eventually reign on earth and all those who love peace will possess the earth..... and very soon the wicked would not have this privilege.

I hope this helps.

'A little while' probably applies to a geological measure of time, since a lot of time measured in human terms has passed since the scripture was written.

Geologically, probably only a little more time will pass until no more men walk this mudball. When that happens the scripture will be fulfilled.

How satisfying to those who need to see the scriptures fulfilled, since even they are a part of the problem, and by their behaviors, probably will be part of the cure.

I thought it was saying, while the users and abusers amoungst us do seem to have all the money ect, eventually they ruin themselves. So don't get angry or violent towards them when they abuse you, if you trust in God, your future is secured in the land. Sounds kinda Amish to me and as I, myself have seen too much of human destructive behavior, I am increasingly coming to the conclusion the Amish are right.

This from an agnostic lol.

after the second coming, Satan will have no control over us for a time, and we will inherit the earth for a time (i dont remember how long 1,000 years??).

only the righteous people will be given this opportunity.

thats what i get out of it, anyways...
