You should use a hydrating moisturiser or a moisturiser especially made for dry skin (it usually says on the label suitable for dry/normal skin). You should put this on at least once a day. As for having smooth arms you should exfoliate about twice a week with exfoliating body scrub, or something similar, it does actually work.

Getting rid of dry skin is very successful and much easier if you use creams or lotions that are made out of vetetable oils (which can be absorbed by the skin) and do not contain mineral oil (which cannot be absorbed by the skin). Vaseline, baby oil, petrolatum products are all made with mineral oil. So, I've found that after cleansing (shower, bath) and applying a vegetable oil lotion or cream, the problem will be solved in a few days. It can be applied several times a day, if you want to, and at bed time. Voila! Success!
I use MURACREAM and EMOLLIENT - X.These products also contain some lanolin which is the best moisturizure!

Eucerin Moisturizing Cream is a staple at our home.
Used to be dispensed only by prescription years ago but now anyone can purchase at: Wal-Mart, Walgreen's, AAFES, any major store.
The cost is about $10 w/tax. No fragrance and non-irritating-lots of name brand lotions make me itch.
The other major thing to do is install a water softener if the carbonate hardness is high (PH) in the drinking water. This is a major factor for dry skin. Call any pet store, Culligan, pool service company and they can give that info. The PH of water should be 7.0,which is neutral.

the best ting is to moisturise, I use creamy baby oil in the shower on my arms and legs, after I'm done with my normal shower I rub the creamy baby oil on my legs and arms then I rinse it off and pat dry ( not rub ) and I stay smooth all day and if you do it regularly you get your body's moisture where you want it and you don't have to use the creamy baby oil as often..

You could use a mesh body puff or loofah when in the bath or shower. Afterward apply a good lotion like Aveeno Oatmeal Lotion. This should help.

I had this, its going now.
I just used body scrub and a loofah on it everytime I went in the shower, and then when I got out I put lots of rich body moisturiser on it. This one is really good...

try eucerin. It's sort of expensive 10.00 dollars but it works like magic!
