If he respects your boundaries. You know, isn't always pushing for sex sex sex. Also, if you guys do stuff together especially with other people he might like you for you because he thinks you're fun to hang out with.
And really, you gotta trust your gut instinct on this. Most girls have a good BS detector.

when he gets up in the middle of the night to take you home from a party that you got too drunk at to drive home yourself :D. seriously, if a guy likes you he WANTS to be your friend AND your lover. hell ask you what you think, wanna do, WANT to do other activites with you, and most importantly... consider how his actions will have an effect on you as well as himself. im speaking from a beating heart of a man and not some boy that doesnt know what responsibility is. tootles!

If he is considerate of your thoughts, feelings and emotions*. If he is kind, caring and affectionate*. If he treats you the way he would want to be treated*. If he is your best friend, and demonstrates that by his behavior towards you*.If he can accept you as you are, and not attempt to change you*..
