I live in a new build, only 2 years old. It's a 3 bed end of terrace with bay windows . My back garden is still in bits, but hell you can't have everything.

I was just wondering because, living in a new house is great, but I imagine an older house would be more interesting and give a sense of history

Our house was built in 1969. I think it used to be a hippie but now it wears an old cardigan and smokes a cigar.

I am forty four years old and have lived in my council house(which was a new build) for forty three years. It's far bigger than the new wee henhouses that are popping up all over the place. I suggest you try to get an ex-council house with massive rooms and a well established garden!!

our house is 52 years old and my husbands mother bought it from being brand new so it has always been in the family and always will do :) It is in the nicer part of harrogate and has massive gardens, the side garden looks over the allotments and over that you can actually see all the way to york (22 miles away) and the moors. Its beautiful, all excet for the 24 hour bar across the road lol

Pretty old - i would say around the mid 1800's. I live in a basement flat which probably used to be the cellar of the house upstairs. There is a hole in a little room at the back for slinging coal down

One part of it is 17th century as it used to be a barn, built onto that is a Victorian bit and the kitchen was built on in the 1970's so it's a range of ages.

Built in 1992 - so it's not too old. The back door is rotting off and flower beds need a complete overhaul.

My house is 28yrs old! Hadn't realised it was that old. And I have lived in it since it was built.
Would actually like to sell up in the next couple of years, and start afresh somewhere else.
