I don't understand why some Christians are pro-choice...Honestly, do you think Jesus would support someone's decision to destroy a human life? Explain. Thanks!

I like the fact that some people are posting all these quotes from the Old Testament, when Jesus is the New Testament! And it has nothing to do with (even if that stuff is in the Bible, all though not meant to be taken literally...I am Catholic so I dont know the Bible inside and out ;-) ) I'm asking do you believe (in your heart) Jesus would allow a "choice" of life...JESUS..not whatever the Old Testament would say...If you spoke to Jesus, would he support abortion?

I am a Christian, and am completely pro-life- however I am trying to understand why some Christians could call themselves pro-choice. However, that will never happen. This is what some would say- "God gives us free will, so everyone has the right to choose for themselves, even though I would not personally ever abort, we cannot take that right away from ause Jesus has always been- GOD IS GOD- and He is the gisomeone".
I cannot be a Christian and pro-choice in this area though and let me explain why- NO, you already did- Jesus would never support someone's decision to destroy life. I try and explain it this way to people who say "it is there choice, even though I would not do it"-
So, if someone came up to you, and told you that they just killed their newborn baby, because they could not raise it, you would say, that is ok, because it is your choice?" OF course not- you would, hopefully report them for murder. What difference is it if the baby is unborn or born. Should be nothing. A baby regardless if born yet or not- is a gift, not a choice. May all people come to that knowledge one day.

for the person who believes Jesus would say life begins at birth- read Psalm 139

The Bible states that the Old Testimate laws are binding for ever (see Exodus 12:14, 17, 24; Leviticus 23:14,21,31; Deuteronomy 4:8-9; Deuteronomy 7:9; 1 Chronicles 16:15;
Psalm 119:151-2; Psalm 119:160; Malachi 4:4; Matthew 5:18-19; & Luke 16:17).

In Matthew Jesus approves of the law and the prophets - he hasn't any objection to the cruelties of the Old Testament.

5:17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.

and last point read Exodus 21:22-23; Leviticus 27:6; & Numbers 3:15-16 in the prior posts.

Thing is, I'm pro-life, but I dislike the pro-life approach. The people who most often have abortions are people who are most often misinformed, are they not? Many women do not know their options, do not feel that they have options, etc. all because of a lack of a close support network (usually that of family). But pro-life supporters play down this issue too often! What I see pro-life supporters do is demand that the child be saved every time, putting the mindset of the woman at a secondary point. We need not argue about the lives of the children -- I think pro-life supporters would make a real difference if they went out into the world and truly educated women on their choices, and helped create support groups which would influence these women, and strongly encourage them to make that right decision -- saving their child.

So I understand why people are pro-choice, because I think it is the woman's mindset that comes first. She must know herself that saving the child is right! However, I myself am not pro-choice, because with that label comes the stereotype that you support decisions being made where the mother does abort the baby. I do not support those decisions, but I am not going to fight them the same way mainstream pro-life supporters do either, which is to first ensure the baby's life with law-making against abortion. Laws only stop so much -- make a real difference and reach out to the women.

Unfortunately mankind simply do NOT know enough about this subject to fight over it as they do. This knowledge went "underground" a long time ago (a necessity of end-times). However the time is nigh, so if your interested...here is a basic explanation;

The higher the station of a man (includes women) the higher the intellect. Arranged statistically, the configuration of minds form a pyramid with highest "I.Q's" (jin or genius) at the top. In other words there are less of them. Now, a man's spirit does NOT incarnate until just before or just after actual birth...therefore an aborted incarnation (performed early) is NOT killing a man! (until incarnation the body is that of an animal)

At the lower levels of the pyramid are normal man (de mon) (90 to 100) with higher ones (up to 200) above. An average stationed soul can incarnate into ANY family bloodline and so has many potential opportunities for birth whereas a highly stationed soul can ONLY incarnate into a bloodline that already contains the appropriate DNA.

Summed up...this means that whilst we are what you people call "pro-choice" (we support free-will), we also have to take a dimmer view of highly stationed bloodlines that limit the arrival of new and highly minded beings simply to suit their own preferred lifestyle.

Average man should leave such issues to us. They argue in ignorance (or at best...naivety).

"Jezeus" is the head of all jin.

Some people split hairs (no pun intended) as to when the fetus becomes a living soul/person.

1. At conception
2. When essential functional organs have been developed in the fetus.
3. When the fetus can survive outside of the uterus (before 9 months full term)
4. At birth, when the baby takes the first breath.
5. Sometime after birth when the baby has been given a name AND the birth is legally registered.

It is difficult to pick one point along this continuum, especially during the early stages. For example, birth control pills (and IUDs) do not prevent conception; they prevent the implantation of the zygote (newly-fertilized ovum) in the uterus. Many conservative Christians use them.

But as one gets to the later stages, the controversy is more obvious : If one assumes that the fetus in not a baby UNTIL it takes it first breath, then what is it 10 minutes BEFORE that?

No, I don't believe Jesus would be pro-choice.

Pro-Choice means you are for a woman having the right to choose, not that you are Pro-Abortion. As a christian, I believe that everyone is allowed to make their own choices good or bad. God believes in free will. He does not force us to do anything.
I don't think Jesus would support someone's decision to destroy a life, but He wouldn't MAKE them make the right decision..although He very well could.

The Bible shows that God does NOT consider human life to be precious. He kills OVER 2 million people, including babies, and that isn't counting fetuses or the number of men, women, children, and fetuses killed during the Flood or the Slaughter of the Firstborns, when we are not told how many people he killed.

The Bible clearly shows that God approves of abortion, and in many cases commands it:

The Bible approves of killing pregnant women: Genesis 38:24, Numbers 31:17

The Bible approves of abortion: 2 Kings 15:16

God approves of abortion: Hosea 13:15-16

People are not counted as persons until they are a month old: Numbers 3:15

The Bible contains directions on how to abort any pregnancy caused by adultery: Numbers 5:12-31

The Bible says that being aborted is better than living a bad life: Ecclesiastes 6:3-5, Matthew 26:24

The Bible says that a person becomes a living soul when he BREATHES the BREATH of life into his nostril (fetuses don't breathe): Genesis 2:7

You can be a Christian and not agree with everything a particular religion preaches. The Bible also says you're suppose to marry you sister in law if your brother dies. If you don't agree with that practice does not make you less a Christian? What is the bigger sin? Practicing birth control or bringing illegitimate children into the world that you cannot afford to feed?

Of my fellow Christians that I have talked to that are pro-choice they have a serious lack of understand of the bible and have not read it all the way through. The bible states in the old testament that it is two murders if you kill a pregnant lady.

Jesus had a broad mind. He was pro-choice. He did not condemn people for their actions or choices, he loved all of them. You should try being more like him.

Jesus knows all your sins, but in spite of them he says to you: “All your sins are forgiven. Your faith has saved you. Go in peace!”
