Once in college I met this girl at a bar and we really hit it off. I lost her number but I had told me where she lived. I drove halfway across town and rang her doorbell every day for two weeks until I finally found her at home - she was just that vile and tempting.

I met a vile temptress on an airplane once. We had a layover at the same airport but then had to go on seperate flights. In between flights we were going to get dinner at McDonalds and I was so going to ask for her number. But then her flight arrived early (the only time in the history of the world that has ever happened) and she had to go. I bought one of everything on the McDonald's menu and gave it to a flight attendant along with a note with my phone number, and she promised to deliver it to the girl.
Either the flight attendants ate all the McDonalds themselves, or that vile temptress threw away my number.

i don't think we men are incredibly bright creatures when it comes to things like that, to be honest. i'd be lying to you if i told you i'd never allowed myself to be manipulated. i'd be lying if i told you that i didn't know i had been manipulated and controlled, but i chose to ignore it, because i was thinking of that one thing that all men want. this went on for about a year. every once in a while she still calls me up, wanting help with something, or some kind of favor, tempting me with a certain reward, and i still feel like a moron for even letting the thought pass through my mind, but at least i've learned to withstand it now.
you ain't the only one, pal.
