The lovely Chosen by God 777 seems to think so. Poor guy. I don't think he'd know what to do with a woman if he ever had the opportunity.

Ok my fellow beautiful R&S women, let's take a poll: Can a Christian be a feminist? Yes or no.

And for the wonderful men of R&S: would you really, honestly want a weak woman who doesn’t have her own opinion but is basically like an indentured servant?

Chosen by God 777, you need not answer. I’m pretty sure we all already know what you’re going to say.

LMAO!

You, me, Pangel and gorgeoustxwoman are all on-line at the same time.

That troll's head may just explode.

Or he'll get a wrist cramp ;)

And to answer, of course a christian woman can be a feminist. Women's independence has been one of the greatest changes in modern times.

Any type of woman can be a feminist. Feminists are strong, independent women who don't need outside validation for themselves. Feminists are their own source of validation.

The only woman that chosen by god guy can get is the kind he blows up.

For a start, God777 is a troll. My Mother is a Christian woman who was a career woman in the 1950s-1970s. She believed in taking care of herself and although she is married to my Father, she has always had her own money and her own life. She does not call herself a feminist as she told me she didn't need a movement or a group to be who she wanted to be. She was my role model...and at 75 years old, she is still active and healthy...a cool lady...

A Christian woman ought to be secure in her femininity. She is not a slave or an indentured servant to anyone.
How many people know that Jesus had female disciples?
How many know that the gals actually supported Jesus' ministry...
Women are beautiful in God's eyes. Jesus NEVER treated a woman as if she were somehow less than a man. In fact, in a time when women could not even so much as enter the sanctuary, Jesus spoke with women face to face, treating them with respect and love.
We do remember Who Jesus is, don't we?
If God, then, has respect and love for women, who are WE to argue with Him about it?

Depends on just what this indentured slave looks like. Or the feminist?

Can a Christian be feminist? I suppose, but that to depends on how far being a feminist goes, on a personal level. Most Christian women are not feminists. And most don't see the need to be.

No. Independent women are smarter than their "Stepford Wives" counterparts. No doubt that Christians can be feminists. Those that say otherwise are "spoiled, pampered, over-aged children", that are intellectually lazy, and prefer someone to make all their decisions for them. Don't believe them. They are ignorant and just repeating the propaganda their false-prophet religious leaders have given them. They can't fully explain any of their positions because they are just repeating what they have heard.

R&S man's answer:

I have a brother who is a Christian minister, and he has a very passive, obedient, quiet wife. I view him as a male chauvinist and view her as insufficiently developed as a separate human being.

I was happily married for 17 years and unhappily married for 3 years. I was guilty of being a workaholic who paid her insufficient attention, and she was guilty of sleeping with at least 10 separte men during those last 3 years. It took both of us to destroy a good marriage. She was a strong, opinionated woman, and that is one of the things I loved about her. When she (and I) stopped communicating, we lost it all.

I would gladly re-marry, but only to a woman who is fully her own person--strong and independent before deciding to commit to a "union of souls."

Cheers.

I am not a femininist; I'm egalitarian. However, yes, Christian women can be feminist.

In fact, I would suggest that a woman following in the Biblical model will be strong and independent (and, yes, that independence *may* include a traditional lifestyle.)
