My account was suspended- I'm back but I don't think they even read my 'violating' messages.
1. Q: Where can I find puppies for free?
My A: Why not ask for a puppy for your birthday -then it doesn't have to be free. Try petfinder.com - lots of small cute dogs who need to be adopted. The fees only cover vet care you'd have to pay for anyway. Goodluck. No dog is free. I adotped my dog and here's what I had to pay: $75 adoption fee that covered his neuter (usually $150 in my town). $130 for shots, deworming, heartworm test, and flea/tick/heartworm preventative. $45 for more preventative and a booster shot $200 for dog supplies (bed, brush, shampoo, toothbrush, toothpaste, treats, food).
2. A girl had posted saying their were no schnoodles in shelters so I posted a Q for her with a list of all the schnoodles in shelters from petfinder.
Question: Where can I adopt house trained shih tzus in Torrance?
My A: Don't know if that's in north america- but if it is try petfinder.com

Question: My Mom keeps saying we'll get a dog around the end of August. Should we start looking at dogs now?
My A:I definitely think you should look on petfinder.com and adopt a shelter or rescue dog. Not to question your mom- but the end of august is probably not a good time to get a dog- unless someone in your family is home all the time. If you get a puppy it will need to go out every 3 hours or you will have an awful time housebreaking it. If you do decide to wait- then please get a year old dog or older- they CAN hold it for 8 hours if they have to. But if you got a dog now, it would have time to adjust to your family before you all go back to school and it is alone all day. Socialization is very important. Never buy a mixed dog from a breeder- they are backyard breeders- no responsible breeder breeds mixes (and I love mixes- mine's a mutt don't get me wrong). If you use petfinder.com search for schnauzer and you'd find alot of schnoodles actually.
Is petfinder against the rules

Cameochis:
adopting from petfinder is not 'buying dogs from strangers over the internet'- it is a listing of all the local shelter and rescue dogs. You still have to go in person and adopt the dog.
"You also posted prices which is against the list rules."
I said what things cost in my experience to let them know there is no such thing as a free dog.
"One of my answers was deleted for referring someone to AKC!"
I do that all the time too- and national breed clubs.
If all those are violations then I can just cycle through email accounts like I am a troll- oh well- dooable. I won't stop trying to help people and save shelter dogs.

i_8_the_canary -That was the only one that even contained active links that was reported. (petfinder doesn't come up as a link for some reason).
I think the problem is I offended little miss "I want a designer dog- shelter dogs are beneath me" "I want to buy a schnoodle from a reputable breeder- there are none in shelters" (because she is too lazy to sift through the results on petfinder). I sifted through them for her and she didn't like that there are 'schnoodles' in shelters.
Yeah I recommend petfinder alot. And yeah I am against irresponsible breeders who breed designer mutts. But that's my opinion and my right- we are all here expressing our opinions.

I do not see a violation. If I were you I'd contact YA & tell them there is a troll out there that has it out for you. Some people say YA's does not respond to an email, but once I had a violation that was unfair, contacted them & they replied. You may also want to make your profile private so it can not be viewed by anyone but your contacts. Could be someone that doesn;t like you is into your profile, going through your anwers & reporting for no reason. I truly don't believ YA's reads all the reported abuse reports fully.

I saw your post about schnoodles, looking for schnoodle girl? or something like that. It was an extremely long list of 30+ website links to shelters etc. I don't think it's the content, so much as the amount of links used. Also I have heard other posters have troubles when using the American Kennel Club
acronymn, it's better to spell it out than use the initials, that way everyone knows what it means, it could have been taken wrong by someone who doesn't know. If it looks like you are a walking talking advertiser for a certain website, you will get deleted. Use caution when posting. Good luck

YA thought it would be easier to let users police themselves. So there is a "review" process but there is system is failing. Unpopular responses or if you make an enemy you will receive violations and after a little while you will be suspended. There needs to be a way to do this in a more fair way where trolls can't take away an informative user from the rest of us.

Sounds to me like someone got upset because you didn't choose them, or because you chose an answer that didn't fit with how they answered. There are quite a few people on here that are just plain rude. Some people with no knowledge what so ever trying to answer, and all they put in the answer box is a bunch of bull, or some rude comment. I myself try to just ignore them. One day YA will be able to tell if the question or answer being reported is actually within the guide lines to be reported. I hope this helps.

I have no idea. I have recommended petfinder myself and seen many others do it.
I see nowhere that your questions violate anything. People post links and such all the time, so I see no problem in recommending petfinder.

You should not be advertising any web site and some of us are trying to educate people NOT to buy dogs from strangers over the internet. You should not post any listings from any particular source. You also posted prices which is against the list rules. If someone wants to get a dog, the answer is to contact the rescue groups in their area or the local shelter. If they are too lazy to do that, then that's their problem. One of my answers was deleted for referring someone to AKC!
