They think old zealots from primitive societies have the last word on morality (except for the slavery, child abuse, ethnic cleansing, polygamy, and other things they choose to ignore in their writings).
They think it is more moral to blindly follow lists of rules than to actually think about what is right and wrong and work with your fellow man on figuring out how to make society better. They consider it the height of morality to get government to enforce their ancient version of morality on the "heathens" of society while attempting to indoctrinate their children to gain future converts. They'll even travel to other countries to impose their morality on people who already have one.

Jack I thank you for asking such questions because it needs to be answered. A true Christian would not force anything onto anyone, those who will follow will and those who will not will be left behind. It is as simple as that. It doe snot mean that we are enemies, on the contrary, as a christian I must welcome even my enemies as friends. I have friends who are atheists, it does not mean I think any less of them otherwise what kind of friend, or christian, would I be. Both sides , though, are guilty of these actions not just one. As Christians we need to be less judgmental towards others otherwise we are going against the very teachings of Christianity, and as atheist I why would you care what they think? Let's all just grow up and carry on, it isn't so hard to show others respect.

In no way are Christian values imposed on anyone in the United States. This country was founded on Christian/Judeo values, but there is also FREEDOM here. If you don't like having values, live without them. You and your family will be the only ones impacted, if you so choose.
Good luck with that . . .

Christians don't like to believe that normal people have different beliefs from them.
Christian fundamentalists have been on the attack for years now, trying to deny rights to homosexuals, trying to outlaw abortions, trying to keep women from obtaining equal rights, and trying to impose their own morals - many of them non-biblical - on the rest of society. Non-Fundamentalists are finally fighting back by speaking out against their campaigns, their media onslaughts, and their mistaken notions of truth, and the Fundamentalists don't like it very much. They can dish it out, but they can't take it. So when people of good conscience stand up for their rights, Fundamentalists cry foul play.

Christianity is not the only one.
Look it the followers of another religion who interpet their religion as a means to control every facet of a person life from what they wear, eat and whom they can associate with.

not all Christian's do but some forget the whole message of God. that he is love he tells us to love everyone and follow jesus example;and he hung out with protitutes and tax collecters. so if someone is pushing their morals on you maybe remind them what jesus wants them to do that should shut them up.
