The modern-day history of Jehovah’s Witnesses began with the forming of a group for Bible study in Allegheny, Pennsylvania, U.S.A., in the early 1870’s by Charles T Russell. At first they were known only as Bible Students, but in 1931 they adopted the Scriptural name Jehovah’s Witnesses. (Isa. 43:10-12) Their beliefs and practices are not new but are a restoration of first-century Christianity.

The false prophet Obi Wan Russell. May his active force be with him.

1)Before Russell's death he personally chose a fitting memorial stone for his grave: a giant pyramid weighing several tons! See it for yourself! (compiled and photographed by Randy Watters)

2)Did Russell commit ADULTERY? -- You be the judge-Read for yourself

3)Russell the PERVERT! -- Read it for yourself! "Girl Kissed Pastor (Russell) and Sat on His Knee"

4)Russell and the Occult-- Russell recommended his followers read the book, Angels and Women. He personally supervised its editing and said it was beneficial because it throws light on certain Biblical subjects. The problem with Angels and Women is it was dictated by a "fallen angel" (demon) to a woman spirit medium. Can you imagine a Christian pastor having anything to do with such a book? This is solid evidence of his occultic roots. (for the skeptics: photo copies below) Apparently the second Watchtower president Joseph Rutherford concurred with Russell's advise, because he advertised it in his magazine, Golden Age recommending it and offering a discount to Golden Age readers. A letter was published in the Golden Age by a reader recommending it as a good Christmas or birthday gift! Some followers wrote the Watchtower and asked why they were promoting a book which was obviously demonic. Not only did they defend it but made it available in bulk discounts for gifts! Clearly, Russell and his predecessors promoted demonism and the occult. See the evidence:

**The Truth hurts. That is the man who started the cult known as Jehovah Witnesses.

An even better question would be, "Who corrupted the truth that Jesus and his disciples spread in the first century?" Jehovah's Witnesses (the believers, not the modern- day organization as we know it) have been around teaching the same thing since the days when Jesus walked the earth. How many times throughout the bible did God personally help his chosen people only to have them become disobedient and betray Him and their faith? The same was expected in the first century. The apostle Paul wrote in 2 Timothy 4:3,4-

"For there will be a period of time when they will not put up with the healthful teaching, but, in accord with their own desires, they will accumulate teachers for themselves to have their ears tickled; 4 and they will turn their ears away from the truth, whereas they will be turned aside to false stories".

and Peter in 2Peter 2:1-3-

"However, there also came to be false prophets among the people, as there will also be false teachers among YOU. These very ones will quietly bring in destructive sects and will disown even the owner that bought them, bringing speedy destruction upon themselves. 2 Furthermore, many will follow their acts of loose conduct, and on account of these the way of the truth will be spoken of abusively. 3 Also, with covetousness they will exploit YOU with counterfeit words. But as for them, the judgment from of old is not moving slowly, and the destruction of them is not slumbering."

How many different "denominations" were there when Jesus walked the earth? There was only Christianity itself- there were no "denominations"... yet! As Peter indicated in the verse above, however, it didn't take long! Today there are seemingly countless denominations claiming to teach what's contained in the bible. The fact is that there always was and always will be one truth! It can even be said that there can only BE one truth! Who taught the truth in Jesus' time? Who teaches the truth today? What was the period of time that Paul mentioned in the above verse when people would put aside the truth in exchange for false stories? Could that time period be between the first century and the start of the 20th century, when all of the different "Christian" denominations sprang up?

When you get deep into bible study you realize who teaches what's in God's word and who follow it as closely as possible! You will be able to see what denominations make exceptions to God's word and who try to refit it to their own thinking and desires. And you will be able to recognize the false "stories", or doctrines that some folks have taken to and who try to give such doctrines a "spine" by using out- of- context scripture and faulty human thinking.

God's personal name is Jehovah, a fact that is not only proven by the bible itself, but supported by scholars and historians who can translate from the oldest bible manuscripts. To preach about him publicly makes you a witness to him. Hence, Jehovah's Witnesses (teachings, beliefs, faith) was started by Jesus and continued down to this day by many faithful others.

Isaiah 43:10- "YOU are my witnesses,” is the utterance of Jehovah, “even my servant whom I have chosen, in order that YOU may know and have faith in me, and that YOU may understand that I am the same One."

There is a nice article on www.wikipedia.org under Jehovah's Witnesses but I thought I would share this phrase.

The religion was developed in response “to what they saw as compromise and corruption in mainstream Christianity.”

To claim that Jesus was the first Jehovah's Witness, is blasphemy in it's truest form.......What unmitigated gall!....

The Jw's were an off shoot from the Freemasons, and the Adventist churches...It was founded by a man named Charles T. Russell....Then taken over by a man named Judge Rutheford.

There is not a religion that I can recall who is more obviously a false Prophet than the Jehovah's Witnesses.
