Yes they do make a mockery of God, probably more then most religious people with their putting words in "Gods" mouth of how people are going to hell if they don't believe in Jesus, basically telling others their perspectives are meaningless. This is what Gandhi once said, "I would be a christian, if it weren't for Christians." Because they speak contrary to what Yeshua/Jesus taught and act in reversal to concepts and principles Yeshua/Jesus showed and don't even walk in the Way. Yeshua condemned no religion but they condemn everyone at times. They have created their own God in their own minds, a demiurge.
However its not only Christians that make God look bad, but all religions like that, Islam and Judaism. They are all pharisaic, it is the literal interpretation of the scriptures such as the Old Testament that creates unworthy beliefs about God and make a mockery of God. This is the most telling and it is this aspect of religion that is destructive and gives God a bad name. The scriptures aren't supposed to be taken literally and to even attempt to do so with respect to the Old Testament God is terrible.

Yes. They bring the Majesty of God down to the level of an animal, by saying God begot a son.
How does God beget, begetting is a animal act that belongs to the functions of sex.
And I am well versed in John 3:16 while everything in the universe God creates, but Jesus is begotten. And that's a dirty lie.
God does not beget, God merely wills it and the thing comes in to being, ie what the Christians are trying to say is, by the command of God Jesus came in to existent in the womb of Mary, since the Bible is written by men and men will use earthly language.
And no written script was in force in the times of Jesus men thought to write it themselves and they made a right mess of the Bible.

When it first started out, when the Christians were on the run, no it didn't, but then once Christianity got into the mainstream, and became more...political, then yes it did start mocking God in a sense, now, the people who actually DO try and follow Christ, no they do not mock Him, but since that is a small minority within the religion, the religion does mock God, that is one reason why I got out of it, too many politics and arrogance, so I followed my own path. But yes, I do not thing God or Jesus or any sort of saint would want Christianity like this.

There are some Christians that do that, such as when they use the name of God to unjustly enrich themselves at the expense of others. I am sure there are plenty of people in other religions who do the same thing. It is not the fault of religion. But there were always people who knew how to use religion for their own ends, because they know how effective a tool it is in using others.

its not the fact of praising him, its those who are "2 faced" and say or act like they praise and follow Jesus or God, or n e other saint. That's what makes a mockery of god, but like random said, those that truely follow with their heart, that do not mock him. So, those who actually follow him do not throw their religion down others' throats... they just accept the knowledge and way for themselves, but if asked, they will explain to you what you wish to know.

Certain Christians seem like the Pharisees that Jesus protested. I was one of those Christians, but I found the Good News.

No,Christianity doesn't,but there are real followers of Jesus Christ. Then others just
claim to be.The claim to be's are the ones
that make the mockery. In Matthew 7:17 says
we can know them by their fruits.Real Christians are fruit inspectors.
