new distributor set at 14 degrees. new coil ,voltage regulator. nwq alternator, battery.starts fine when it wants.. y not every time...

When it won't start, remove the air cleaner. Open the choke butterfly, move the throttle & look down the carb. You should see a squirt of fuel. If no fuel present, you may want to replace the fuel pump or install a check valve at the carb. Fuel may be bleeding back to the tank.

When it wont start, simply check to see if it has spark coming out of a plug wire. Take an old spark plus and increase the gap to .080 and put it in a plug wire and ground the plug to the block. Have someone crank it and see if it is firing. If not I remember changing a thousand of those ignition modules, and only about a hundred of those pickup coils inside the distributer. But 1st verify if it has spark or not when it acts up.

change the module aka the brain box had to have mine changed 3 times while still under warranty I use to carry a extra one got stuck to many times

Bedix in the starter going bad.

It could be ign. module on the fender well. Need to know if its getting fire or fuel/
