Every jail term is too long. There is a great deal to be said for using other forms of punishment, including such as working for a long time as a hospital orderly for the elderly. Caring for sick and dying children in a children's hospital.

We should do a great deal more to stop 'crime' in it's tracks before it happens and that means taking care of all of our people all of the time from the cradle to the grave.

No one should ever be left out or made to feel they do not belong.

It is belonging to the family nation which will improve matters and not separation into slots or communities, all separated by cultural differences and bad words and ignorance.

The people who benefit by a division of the people are the politicians. They are responsible for the despare and deprivation we see all about us.

In UK the gap between the rich and the poor is as wide now as it was forty years ago.

It is an issue which is of deep concern for all of us. We cannot continue with this situation where we have the 'haves' and the 'have nots'.

Your jail term should have been longer. And I'm sure you don't look like your photo after so many years. You have access to things that have been denied forever the people you murdered. A better question for you, Do you feel any pain for the pain and loss that you have caused and continue to cause?.

Don't know what you did to get there in the first place and don't know how long you was there either. But at any rate, as long as you learned your lesson and will not break the law again. You are fine. But if you didn't learn then no you needed to stay longer. You had to stay as long as you did so you would have plenty of time to think about it. So now don't mess up again, ok.

All jail terms are definitely too long. A good fumigation would solve the costs involved with long incarcerations.

Your avatar looks like peter sutcliffe, if so, then there should not have been a jail term, the death penalty would be more appropriate, sadly, the do gooders won't permit it in uk.

In English law the punishment befits the crime. Was it an hour, a day , a month , a year , 10 years. Who did you kill.? Which old lady did you molest?Which underage child did you rape.? How much did you rob ? Did you do a dog?

Bad boy!

no but it was inappropriate ,execution would have been more just.I cant believe so many people on here are showing their ignorance as to who the avatar represents even when some of the answers name Peter Sutcliffe - the Yorkshire Ripper.

Hi, Petra...thought other cons in Wakefield and elsewhere - before you got the cushy hospital ward - would have shagged you rotten in your first years.
