I judge the complexity of my life by how many keys are on my keyring...That is when I start looking and saying what are the priorities. I have actually found keys that I couldn't remember what they went to.
It is a gentle reminder to look at your key ring, and think what am I blessed with? A home, filled with love. A job, financially rewarded for work well done. A car, life is easier than it used to be. Storage shed...too many things, I need to simplify again...

Yep...just like you. I had this idea that life would become simpler, easier as I got older. It sure hasn't. And I thought that improved quality of life would mean happier life - it sure doesn't.

I guess the reason we feel that way as we grow older is that as we move along through life, we experience more and more and learn from experience. Likewise, we live in a world where far more information is being heaped upon us as we grow older - and that is not necessarily the best thing.

All I try to do is keep my cool, accept life as it comes along, and understand that like so many other things, the next crisis shall also pass...

because you want too many things. if u keep things simple it wont be complicated. its only complicated if u make it complicated. if u think its not you thats making life complicated then its something that u want influence ur life to a complicated area.
because life now isnt very good how we would like to see it so things gets very complicated because the society effect everyone but lets have hope puts things simple and patients.
think possitive. in the future we will make the next generation less complicated and the less will become zero in time because you understand how and why.

I'm sorry I have to disagree..the older I get the more I realize how important my place has been in life, how loving God has been torward me and longsuffering, forgiving and faithful. He told us through his Son that his yoke was easy and his burdens light - but we refused to believe it. If anything, I have learned that had I been more obedient in my earlier years, I would probably be ahead of the pack by now. I have been blessed in my life. I have been given more than I ever dreamed of. I have experienced so much as a child and a young person which has made me appreciate everyone. I came through the Civil Rights period of segregation and hatred and I should be so full of rage for all that happened to me, but I am not. My mother was so good about teaching us how to love. You have to see Jesus in people regardless of their actions. You have to know that the "spirit" of the real person is inside and that satan can control you if you let him. My life has had moments of challenge, but I have always been in and around people of faith and who have taught me faith and love and therefore my life has been full of good stuff, music and art, books and writings, and gifts where I could bring happiness to others through my voice and my writings. I have touched people in ways I will never know and I owe it all to the prosperity of God's grace and mercy in my life. To Him be the glory and honor. Life can be 'challenging', but never complicated. That would mean you have no way out of your situation and I believe that God's mercy is so great and his faithfulness is so great unto us that he would not leave us in a situation without a way of escape. He holds the devil at bay and allows us chance after chance to recognize what we need to do and to put people in our lives to help us understand. His wings are always there to shadow and protect us. There is no complication in that. There is only hope and love, peace and joy and salvation in the knowledge of who He is and what he has done.

Not for me. I thought life was really hard and rough as a teen and young adult. You become so emotional and you think everything is SOOOO important. Now that I'm coming towards my late 30's, I find things aren't as tough. It's only what you make of it. I think it's the positive attitude and positive outlook on life that makes things easier.

Yes, very true.
It goes in both the directions as well -
of possibilities vs. barriers, positive vs. negative,
or good vs.evil!
Soloman said that to grow wiser is to also gain
more sorrow - in looking at the world around.
It seems we are born full of wonder and are humble as
a child, then become more and more arrogant and
"know-it-all" for a while, then we become smarter
and more humble again! Good day!

yes i know what you mean. i dont know if i call it "complicated", instead i think of it as "fragile".
my mortality and my changing body are on my mind alot more. i also treasure the time left with my kids...they will be out of the nest in a few years. my dad has cancer , and so does a good friend of mine(she is 39). i dont know hat to beleive anymore about when happens after we die.

fragile, this life.
