Tetanus shots are "intermuscular." In other words, instead of injecting it into that little layer of fat that we ALL have, it goes deeper into your arm. That's why it hurts more. It should go away after a few days, you just have to be patient. If it's bad enough, call the Doctor/Office that gave it to you and explain you're particularly SORE.

Your arm should not hurt like that from taking a Tetnus shot. Must have bruised it when you were given the shot. Good idea to call and talk to your doctor about it.

The liquid used to inject this sort of vaccination is thick. It's now sitting like a lump in the muscle. I know it hurts, but the best way to reduce the pain is to make the muscles move. This will dissipate the stuff and the pain will be gone.

Unfortuenetly that is the only thing about the injection! If the doctor says you can, take some pain medication if not! Try pumping your stomach full of Chocolate! =D

Mine hurt for like four days afterwards. It was a bummer, but I tried not to sleep on that side when I slept & took advil every couple hours. It worked for me, I suppose.
