He's not telling us now, is he? So it's up to us to decide. I'm not going to let some superstition determine how I should live my life.

Jesus died for me - I would hardly call that a curse for all the wrong doing I've done in my life.

God is good and he is always stepping up and doing right by me - no matter what I've done or what I'm like... I want to do good and I try to do my best - but I am FAR FAR from being a perfect christian. The only perfection I have is that I am dead and my life is hidden in Christ - Christ is all I have, Christ is our only hope, Christ is OUR VERY RIGHTEOUSNESS. Christ is a GIFT to us from God and we can not earn Christ. Christ is everything - and He is all I have. If I do right or wrong - I do not know. My life is hidden in Christ - God sees Christ.

No. He really isnt cursing us. He has set blessings and punishments out to the law. its our choice whether we accept the blessings or the cursings as you put it.

The main difference between good and evil is that evil is usually instant gratification. Good isnt instant gratification. it often takes a while before we see the benefits, even if they instantly come to us.

My answer is that you grow up and abandon the childish superstitious nonsense that seems to have polluted your mind.
