It seems these people think we owe them something as part of being world neighbors. I am simply overwhelmed by the stupidity of these pro-amnesty supporters, who think that breaking the law should mean a free ride and citizenship.

Ed Borden, do you want bordes or agree with the dems? I am a dem but hate the thought of keeping the borders the way they are, and giving people free rides for breaking the law.

I agree with you. "Illegal" is different from legal immigrants. Illegals are breaking the law - skipping in line, cheating the system. If they don't respect our laws, they have no right to be here.

The legal immigrants who come here enrich our culture and do great things. But no one should get a free pass to skip in line ahead of those legals that have been waiting years. That's just not fair.

That is true, but it is a question of making the punishment fit the crime.

If you Jaywalk or file your taxes late, there is a 3 year statute of limitations and you are only subject to a small fine. You do not lose your job, your home or your family.

Why should a person who committed an infraction 30 years ago be forceably taken from their home and family and returned to their place of birth, which they may have never even known?

Under the bi-partisan compromise there is no free ride. Every alien has to file an application, pay a huge fine, and wait for perhaps 10 years before presenting evidence of employment, good conduct, knowledge of English and American history. Then if it is decided that hey meet the requirements for residency, it will be another 5 years for citizenship.

Every minute an ICE agent spends chasing busboys and farm workers is an extra minute a violent felon or terrorist commits crimes.

What you do not understand is that their is an inhumane time frame for processing an application which is 20-24 years currently for a person with rights to come here and be issued a green card.

Quotas and time processing frames make it virtualy impossible to come here, I am a son of an American a Grandson of an American and a cousin of Americans, born in UK with an English Mother I have waited 17 years so far for a green card even though an approval came in for me just recently I now have to wait up to 7 more years for a green card.

Do you think that is a reasonable wait period?

I fell into illegal status because it was either spend my life away from my family or say I may as well be an overstay I could be dead in 24 years and missed everything.

You do not know peoples circumstances ranting like an idiot that illegal means illegal just breeds and shows ignorance..

And I pay taxes just like everyone else so also people thinking all illegals are broke and screw the system are also ignorantly ranting.

What part of dont break the speed limit do you not understand it says 65 but you do 70!

So many pro illegals think that the waiting time for immigration is unacceptable. Who says we have to let any of them in to begin with? Hel*, what makes it ok for them to just come anyway? We don't owe American citizenship or residency to any other person who is not an American. We are kinder than any other country. To be taken advantage of because our system and laws aren't agreeable to illegals is one of the sore points of my being. A free ride is not available to Americans and sure as hel* should not available to illegals! Deport them now! A little at a time or as many as we can round up per day. Diligence pays off in the end!

I believe that most people know that they're breaking the law but they tolerate it because nothing big has happened yet. Everyone in the world knows that there's no difficulty in getting across the southern border of the US so it's just a matter of time before people will be crossing the border for reasons other than finding a job picking fruits and veggies. Just wait! When the wrong guys get in, people will wake up.

I understand it and it's not hard at all. I think a lot of these supporters have become pawns in the game that illegals are spinning. I've had some people e-mail me with some real tear jerker stories...I still say deport. There is a legal path to citizenship, period.

Illegals do not care about American laws, American citizens or the American way of life. That is why they are protesting and demanind amnesty!! They want us to accomodate them!!
Websites links, telephone prompts, tv and radio stations and signs in Spanish are perfect examples of illegals who do not want to learn English or become US citizens.
Why can't they follow the example of millions of other immigrants who came to the US "to get a better life!"?????

People who have no respect and no regard for the law to begin will never understand. Theirs isn't a position of legitimate and thoughtful rationale or reason--simply one of blind emotion.

Oh--and of expectation that you and I should pay for it. Don't forget that part!

There are rules and they should be respected. They come here then do not pay taxes and this is ok, for them.
