According to Scripture he received a double portion of God's grace. While duplicating Elijah's miracles he was, with the double portion, walking among the people as a true pastor. Elisha remains a type of what the true church should have been, but failed to attain.

Elijah was a man of the deserts and hills; a loner compared to Elisha. His powerful ministry was under the law.

Elisha speaks to our time when the Lord Jesus dwells in power with believers; not in hills, or deserts or in religious services and activity, but in their daily walk.

The question should really be; Did God do double the miracles through Elisha than through Elijah in the Bible?

God is a God of Blessings and not of cursing, He is a God of increase not decrease.

The miracle ratio was 5:2 in Elisha's favor - BUT don't forget that Elisha was using the portable version of the handy dandy 'miracle maker ' (available at all major depertment stores) so that was a bit of an advantage

He got a double portion of Elijah's power, but I don't know what the miracle ratio was. Maybe his miracles were twice as stupendous.
