my husband cracked his skull when he was about 2 years old. early on in school, he started having learning disabilities. the doctors never proved it, but his family thinks that the learning disabilities came from the skull fracture. i think it's what caused it. he has a lot of problems with comprehension of words, and hates reading. he's great with math, but when it comes to reading, not so much. he's very smart otherwise, and has a great job, but it's just that little glitch in the brain. he works with people with developmental disabilities, and i think that all his struggles earlier on in life have helped him understand what his guys go through.

your brother just needs to get help. he might need a tutor, or just some help. he does need to be evaluated by a specialist. trust me, it'll help him in the future.

I doubt there is a connection between being dropped and his ability to comprehend and pay attention in school today, and it'd be a little too late to find out, so it's not even worth mentioning. Maybe he should be tested for ADD or ADHD.

I dont know if it could be related to the fall. It may just be his personality and he needs to find a niche that he is interested in and then he will take off and do well ( in a vocation)

It's too late to change anything, support him and whatever he likes and enjoys the most is what you should give him support in where you can.
