Are you having serious doubts about Buddhism OR are you have serious doubts about converting to Judaism? In any case, visit your local synagogue and make an appointment with the Rabbi to discuss your interest. Ask yourself what is it about Buddhism that doesn't resonate with you anymore AND what is it about Judaism that does resonate with you? What has triggered this?

(I was raised and confirmed Roman Catholic. The "trigger" that led me away was when my fiance and I met with a priest in preparation for getting married in the Catholic Church--and he told us that we had to promise to raise our future children Catholic. That raised some deep issues for me, and I just couldn't commit to that.)

Back to your situation: Are you contemplating the change for yourself or for someone else? And even if you do decide to make the change, Buddhist philosophy is so inclusionary that you will probably find yourself still holding on to some aspects of Buddhism whether you realize it or not. (In my case, there are some teachings of the Catholic Church that I still resonate with, so I haven't personally discarded everything I had grown up believing in).

Best wishes as you search your soul for what you think is right for you.

Talk to a Rabbi.

Pastor Art is correct about circumcision, but, depending on where you were born you may have been circumcised from birth. After World War 2 it was something done quite often, partially, to eliminate the possibility of identifying a Jew and partly to reduce specific diseases that occur on uncircumcised males.

You still need to talk to a Rabbi.

First step is to accept the illusion that is the world.
Then you have to get back a bit of materialism.
Add some more weight to problems.

Then, when you feel the weight of the world once agian pressing you down to earth, you go to a jewish priest and have him cut your winky.

I hope you're doing it for a woman.

Maybe you would want to research more about Judaism (rather than Jewish) first? Search online and in your local phone book for synagogues and inquire with the members there.

I really don't understand. Has your faith changed? Why the convert? "Serious doubts" is a bit alarming coming from a former Buddhist.

Go talk to a couple local Rabbis and share your concerns with them..That is best as you search for the faith you want to get involved with...

why would you change to anything you have doubts about ? You have a direct line to God if you use it.. Pray to him in quiet times when you are by yourself. dont expect a thundering answer. then listen with your thoughts... If you really are sincere, you will get your answer.

You'll need to be circumcised.

Well that's the first step anyway.
