Call out a T.V repair person, under NO circumstances should you take the back cover of your T.V unless you are a trained T.V technician.

Power unit is probably bad if it's just a black blank screen and you have it plugged in. Try a different outlet. If you see the light that goes above your power button on then it's not your power, the video processor died and its time to get a new TV for your wiv.

Nowhere near enough info. Does the screen flicker at all? Is there any sound? Is the "on" light illuminated? If not then there's no power coming through.

Just read splatweasle's comments. DO NOT TAKE THE BACK OFF! If it's not anything obvious such as not plugged in, fuse blown etc. then either get someone qualified to look at it or, if it's getting on a bit, buy a new TV.

First check your plug fuse, then Disconnect the TV from the mains and wear some rubber gloves. Open the back and look for a fuse. Do not touch any other components as they might still hold a charge. Replace the fuse with the same type.(They are usually clear and you can see a break in the wire.)
