More people tithe to a small group of leaders. I keep seeing huge churches built on my city's most expensive real estate. I see the ministers in restaurants (most fat and all vain) spending lavishly. Is this the way Jesus would have wanted His Church?

nope he wouldn't have wanted it this way.

i am very cautious of any and all megachurches....they call themselves corporations (look it up in the public records office of their county...it's there), yet they pay no taxes....i don't have a problem with a religious group not paying taxes, but a corporation?...that tells me the whole foundation of the megachurch is corrput.....can't trust them to direct you in the correct path...

we should take religion back to a more personal level...you need to read your own texts and live by them for you....not because someone told you to...

I think that Jesus would want all of us to pour out as much as what is being taking in . So there can be no accusations.living modestly and distibuting your moneys out to minister to others . A pastor needs his needs met of course but not tolive lavishly.

The "McChurches", as I would prefer to call them, Are set up with the IRS as a "religious organization" and do not have to pay taxes; therefore becoming a "tax shelter" and making billions off of naive people (mostly old). As for someone being poor and needy are usually turned away because they aren't in their parishioners tax bracket and would make their "church" look bad.

I hope they burn in Hell for what they do.

yes they make the ministers rich by design. and no thats not what jesus would have wanted. even if you decide to go with biblical acounts of jesus, witch christians tend to be fond of, he asked his followers to set aside worldly goods to follow him with gold and silver, blade and staff. so he said no money and no wepon to protect yourselfs. I think thats a pretty good indication that he didnt care for greed. corse modren ministers and preachers are so far removed from the "truth" of the bible that its funny.

well that's kinda tricky cuz if a preacher is truly doing GODS work and not taking from the cookie jar then GOD will bless him with his favor as he would any of us. If the preacher man happens to be fat then that goes to show you that he is not perfect either and too is a sinner.

When it is Over, it will be Over.
The Angels will Seperate the Wheat from the Chaff.
Jesus will do the Rest.
