Do pilots take bathroom breaks while flying?
Oh yes. Can't stand those diapers.
How much is a pilot paid?
I do quite well but I still wish I played third base for the Yankees.
Do you use automatic flying at any time like when you are not feeling well?
And when we are feeling well.
Are men pilots like the navy have a girlfriend in every airport?
I have a hard time affording the one at home.
If you had to do your life over would you still become a pilot?
Seeing as though I could never hit a major league curve ball, I suppose this has been the next best life.
what is about flying you enjoy the most?
It's the one time that I can truly say that I am the sole master of my fate. What I say goes, whether I'm talking to air traffic control or my boss who pays my salary.
Do pilot mix and megel with the passengers ?
I have flown many different executives and celebrities. Some welcome us into their fold, others don't. Mostly I prefer to keep a barrier between us regardless of how they feel.
Would you consider writing a book about your time as a pilot?
Already am. The working title, "More than my fair share". Don't know if I'll ever finish it as it's been in progress for about fifteen years and I have even more doubt that a publisher might be interested but keep your eyes open at your local Borders and Barns and Nobel. You never know.

Bathroom breaks: If we need to, yes, but it's a hassle. All passengers need to be seated with their seatbelts fastened before the cockpit door is opened. The flight attendant will be right outside the cockpit door and will enter as soon as the pilot leaves to "use the facilities" and will lock the door behind him. When the pilot is done he calls the flight attendant on the interphone and she opens the door to let him back in. If we didn't take these percautions one of the passengers might storm the cockpit and file our nails or spill more than 3oz of liquid on us. More recent developments indicate that there's a chance of being forced to eat cheese which has been smuggled onto the aircraft. (This job is just full of risks).
Pay: I started at just under $17K/year. After 3 years I'm making $45K. Go here for more details: http://airlinepilotcentral.com/airlines.html. That gives the hourly rates; pay will be for 75-100 hours/month.
Autopilot: I like to hand fly more than most but a lot of guys put the autopilot on at 1,500 feet and leave it there until we're just about to touch down at our destination. If you're really tired at the end of a long day and the weather's bad it's a nice benefit to have the autopilot fly the approach for you.
Girlfriends: Pilots learn to have backups and alternates - it's part of the job. I prefer to have TWO girlfriends in every city. That way if one of them is unavailable you have a backup - just make sure you keep the names straight. As a backup, if you're lucky, you might have a cute flight attendant.
If I could do it all over I'd DEFINITELY be a pilot again. Best job in the world as far as I'm concerned. I've always been into car racing, high performance vehicles, etc, so it's a rush to "have a jet in my hands". Sort of like driving a BMW x 10!
We can't socialize while flying - the cockpit door has to stay closed (remember the dangers of liquids, gels, and cheese we talked about before?).
I don't think my experiences would warrant a book.

Sure, if there's a bathroom on the plane. Fighter pilots use a "piddle pack."
Anything from barely minimum wage to 6 figures.
You don't fly when you're not feeling well.
Some do, some don't.
Every pilot would.
Flying.
No, not since 9/11.
Nah, haven't flown enough. But can tell a few good "war stories."

There are too many questions to answer.I guess you are talking about commercial pilots( you don't say).Sure they take bathroom breaks. If you are not feeling well prior to flight, you should ground yourself, until you are fit to fly.If you get ill during flight ,your copilot can take over. Most don't have a girl in every town.I've enjoyed every year of my 35 years of flying.Every flight is still exciting. No book in my future.
